Day Widget

I would like to place it in the Dock of my Android lollipop so that I can see the date on any of the screens. I contacted the developer about this on two occasions and he did not respond maybe he's just not interested. :-(

Had it earlier n it was useful. After my fone was recently repaired n reinstalled downloaded it again but this time it just doest work!! Sad to see this go...was simple n solved my need :(

Thanks for providing this widget. It fixes the issue on my galaxy phone whereby the s planner calender icon just shows 31 and not correct date. Thank you 5*

Really do like this. Have used for long time. Problem is date not right lately. Fix that ur back to 5.

It is perfect. No crap in the app just tells the date. I hate that the s7 doesn't say the date on the top of the phone, so I'm glad I found this

To make it problem free of not updating the date, it should simultaneously refresh while opening the calendar application. This will solve the problem.

Small size and the shape is okay but please make more skin...make it looks beautiful, not just red and grey. Or transparant skin.. or any other skin..

Works pretty good. I have a question though; why does the widget launch my Outlook app when clicked? (Edit: in hindsight I suppose this is because the app attemps to launch the default calendar app, and since I do not use any calendar apps this app chooses Outlook for some reason. The question is only halway answered, in that sense.) On a side note it might be an idea to implement a setting allowing people to decide what app the widget opens.

The date rarely changes, to update the date, I have to either re-start the phone or uninstall and then reinstall the app. The size of the widget should be a bit bigger and increase the font size of the month. Currently, I can hardly read the month

I would surely give it 5 stars if the widget size can be increased or decreased, for the elderly a big date and day image would really help when set on the home screen, do consider in the updates to come

Solves my problem of the Google calendar widget only showing the correct date 6 days out of the year. And it opens the calendar that I already have.

I just wish I could personalize the color. Not a big fan of red.

Unfortunately I don't use the stock calendar app and no option to choose the app you use.. shame :(

I LOVE this widget! I recently switched from Apple to Android and have been missing that Apple design factor until I found this widget. It's got that extra quality in design that makes it easy to see day and date from the home screen without having to squint. Integrates perfectly with my Google calendar. Updates automatically. It's the perfect interface.

Does what it says on the tin. Very useful having this widget on the homescreen. I do hope that a future update will enable removal or hiding of the other icon which takes up a space among my app icons and which, when tapped, seems mainly to tell me that it is not the actual widget, plus how to put the widget on my home-screen etc.

After 28 december it has stopped updating ..the app is good but the problem needs fixing

I'd love it more if it would let me select the calendar program I use (Google) but other than that it does what I need.

I love this. The only thing I'd like better is if it would be available in the notification bar and I could pull it down and check it that way without having to unlock my phone. But I love it.

Outstanding solution to the Google Calendar "permanent 31 date". I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, which recently had a Samsung update to G900VVRU2DPF4. It has Android version 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). This widget was mentioned on the Android Central site. For my phone, it works perfectly. I installed it as a widget - long press on empty space on a home screen brings up choices of "wallpapers, widgets, home screen settings". After you find the Day Widget, you touch, hold and drag to where you want it on the home screen. You are then given 3 choices and for my phone, the "Smaller size, rounded corners" worked perfectly. After the widget is installed you should see the current date. Tap on the widget and it opens up your Google Calendar. Perfect.

It's free! There are no permissions and no ads! It's simply functional, displaying current date and to my amazement, tap it and it opens the Google Calendar; exactly what I've been searching for use on my Nexus 7 tablet. I'm staying awake till midnight to watch it roll over

Initially downloaded and ran as widget only (not an app, on my droid turbo 2, so didn't work). Trick was to bring it to screen as a widget & not more common way (as app).

Doesn't show day/date on my galaxy tab - just shows the text "date widget". Have disabled power saving as suggested - didn't make any difference. Don't want to disable power settings anyway.

I just got a new Samsung Galaxy phone today and discovered that the date displayed on the calendar tile was permanently stuck on 31. After hours of research, I finally found this widget that does exactly what I was looking for. It shows the proper date on a 1 x 1 tile along with the day of the week and month. Never thought that something so simple would be so hard to find!

80 kb only,it don't take too much space in my old phone.

Does the Job that Android stock calendar doesn't, can't or won't do: dynamically display the day of the month in a persistent shortcut to your full calendar. Most people will never get to use a WebOS Smartphone, so will never understand the frustration of those who have. 1) this widget is too large...should be able to size like other shortcuts. 2) need an option to just display the numeric day (we know the month and day of week).

I have disabled all battery apps, reinstalled the widget several times but it just doesn't update automatically. The only way it changes date is if you delete and then then re-install it and repeat every twenty four hours! Marshmallow 6.0

Once I found out how to download a widget, installing this one was easy. Works perfectly on my android and I love the bright red and white design.

Nice looking icon, easy to see against wallpaper, clicks through to calendar... So far so good. Problem.... Date doesn't change to current day until something synchs it and my widget is always a day behind each morning but spot on each afternoon and evening

It always has the wrong date on of late and Is always a day or more behind the actual date. This has been more so recently. This used to work GREAT up until recently :-(

Does its simple job well. Though 80k seems excessive. Back in the day we could do so much more with 40k on a C64. Seems like there could be room to shave its size down substantially somehow. Still I give you 5 stars

I did need a widget for quick check on current day'd date from home screen. This one wouldn't change the date unless I open it few times. Seems the app relays on some other Android apps or features that I disabled. It didn't do what u need.

It connects to my calendar when pressing the icon. Nice and simple 1x1 icon. Shows actual date on widget. Just what I was looking for! !!

I had been really annoyed to see google calender icon displaying '31' everyday..this is a true replacement for that crap

But the Month characters on the Small Round Widget is too small to read.
