nugs.net for Android
App is terrible. Complete waste of space on my phone. Creating a Playlist sucks. Save for offline on music I have purchased is grayed out. Playing the music is terrible just randomly stops playing and won't pick up again. Not sure who is to blame Nugs for their service or the people who developed this app.
I was not able to subscribe to the service through the app. So I signed up online and the app would not recognize my subscription. I followed all their self help steps and submitted a ticket and the last message I received was essentially "are you sure you're logging in with the correct email address?" (I was). Compound this with spotty playback in my vehicle over Bluetooth for even the free streaming channel and I don't feel the quality of this service even comes close to what you would expect for the cost.
Last update significantly improved the apps stability, but still buggy. Have to force stop to close app in background after closing app. But works mostly
No ability to control notifications is enough reason for me to uninstall this app. As it stands it feels like I only installed this app so that I could receive your advertisements.
Great app. Great service. The last update fixed the issues I was having with the lock screen controls. You guys are awesome.
I wish I could cast to my Google Home big-brother device.
So close to 5 stars
Latest update fixed a TON of issues. Support for Bluetooth improved tremendously, can now pause and play from my headphones and the notification buttons. Shows current song on the lockacreen. No more issues with audio cutting out on long songs, or having to restart a song after pausing. Fixed almost all my issues with the app. Interface is still not the best, but it is a 100x better experience than it previously was.
Just signed up for this. Gave my details and you can only listen to a fraction of the songs it claims you can
Amazing first impression! The UI is a bit messy but the application have so far worked without any issues Edit(2*): app hung when changing to the next track and gapeless playback is not gapeless
This would be a great app if it worked properly, which it does not. Constantly crashes in the middle of songs, very irritating. Great idea, poor execution.
Would love this app if it worked but sadly I paid 12.99 and it said I still need to subscribe
Crashes
Could be a great streaming service if it wouldn't crash constantly or load more than 25% of the time. Considering I pay $13 a month to listen to just the dead and co, I WOULD APPRECIATE ACTUALLY BEING ABLE TO LISTEN TO THE MUSIC I PAID FOR.
Loading screens are annoying and not being able to save music on my SD card makes this pretty undesirable
Cuts off music on longer songs (10+ minutes) somewhat randomly, and then you can't skip back to where you were. Truly a bummer, as everything about this app is terrific, but they fall short in the one place it counts - as a music player. Won't be renewing subscription.
Every time I play a song the sound stops working around 3 minutes before the end of the song. The songs also often won't load, even if I'm in WiFi range or have 4g service available. The last update fixed a few bugs but you guys still have a lot of bugs to work out. Great format and library, it would be the best app in the world if it wasn't so buggy.
Just paid for a full year and now the app won't even recognize me when I log in. Have lost my playlists, can't stream, so pissed off. Don't even know how to contact them for help.
Very glitchy and temperamental on my s7 and a lot of functions that normally work on all my other music apps won't work on this one. But I love it because it still works (well enough, albeit barely) to play awesome music from my favorite bands!!
An audio app that can't detect Chromecast Audio??? You've got to be f***ing kidding me. Have to use screen mirroring but is way to choppy. Notification drop down controls don't work. Music often will play 2 of the same streams at the same time leaving me wondering if I got dosed somewhere along the line before I figure it out. For $13/month this shouldn't be happening. Also, you should be able to select streaming quality for times when your not on the best connection. Unsubscribing until these issues are addressed. It appears I'm not the only one.
Great artists, horrible app. Needs update to fix bugs. I feel like that's not too much to ask especially since we pay 12 bucks for this.
After two months I had it and cancelled. Simply put, this is the poorest performing music app I've ever used. Virtually nothing about it works properly. See any review on here.
Great concept and library but the player doesn't work right. Takes forever to load and even then is buggy. If the playback can be fixed it's a 5 star app
It cut off in the middle of the first set. I cannot get a refund, it will not play where I left off. Utterly disappointed for $20 purchase for the live stream.
A year or two after the initial release and this app still has a tremendous amount of bugs. It's unfortunate that I'm stuck using it ever since UMLive got ported over to it. For $13/month I would expect a much better experience. Practically every time I open the app it crashes and needs to restart. Trying to download shows for offline use is very hit and miss in terms of whether every track downloads successfully. The lock screen widget doesn't allow me to pause/play most of the time. Shows that have been added recently won't show up unless I refresh multiple times and restart the app multiple times. Loading of shows and subsequent buffering is often incredibly slow even when I have a great network connection. All of this still happens after uninstalls and reinstallation. I'm not sure what else to say. There is A LOT of room for improvement. Not that Nugs cares since they've now more or less cornered the market by getting so many bands to sign on to this service...
Won't even load up after I put in email.
Love this ap when it works. Lately it stops play with more than half the left. Please fix!
It doesn't work
Can't cast a webcast.
Rip off
Like everyone else has said, this app has a great library; but what good is that library if your music player does not work. I haven't been able to finish a track without the music just stopping. I then open the app and it thinks it it still playing the track, but there is no audio. And it doesn't allow you to skip a portion of a track. Again, it appears to be playing when you skip forward, but no audio. Glad I did the free trial. I plan on cancelling before the trial ends. I would also like to see better Bluetooth integration.
I want to use and pay for this app so badly, but it is such poor software that I just can't make myself do it. I have a fairly current phone, with good specs (Nexus 5x) and even on that, this app crashes roughly every other song, whether streamed or downloaded onto my phone. Skipping ahead or back in a song also crashes the app. What I want to do is use the app to download entire shows, and listen to them in my car. Unfortunately, due to the constant crashing, every song longer than 5 minutes is a highly frustrating experience, as the app can't get through the entire thing, and when it crashes, I can't skip ahead to where I was when it crashed, because then it crashes AGAIN. This app has such money making potential, but the poor design and software is so bad that I canceled my subscription to nugs. The entire point is to be mobile with good live music, and that's simply not doable with Thai awful app.
Worst app I've ever paid for. Obviously the only plus here is the great library of soundboards... in the rare case the app isn't stuck in a hole. WAYYY TOO MANY GLITCHES/BUGS!!! Yet I continue to pay hoping someday these guys will actually address the issue? Been paying since they decommissioned UMLive. Insane.
This app has a ton of potential because of the great library but it really fails to deliver. Littered with bugs, the app is guaranteed to crash almost every time you use it. Basic features like bluetooth integration are missing. Weird behavior like skipping back to the second track after another track finishes. 5 stars for the library but -4 for the usability. The web application is even worse.
Hated it... It really loves track 2 of every show.... Always goes back to it
This apps performance varies by phone. Various Disco Biscuits shows will not play on my brand new droid and instead crash the app every time. This changes when using an iPhone with the same subscription, and it works fine. I have reinstalled the app many times and the same shows/songs continue to crash it without playing. Clearly the app interacts better with certain phones than others, which is a huge disappointment for $124.
First off, the music selection is 5/5...the app itself is 1/5. 1. It does not transmit track info via BT...like every other music player on the market. I like to see the track name when in my car. 2. It does not stop playing when the BT is disconnected...like every other music player on the market. Annoying to have to STOP the playing when I get out of my car. 3. It doesn't seem to like my 60 Mbps cable internet to stream from, so I hardly ever get to listen to music on it. Once you get the app on PAR with the other music players in the market, this will be a GREAT app with the greatest music library on it!
You guys had a couple of SCIENCE shows on the app for like two days then Poof!! It disappeared.....what gives???
Love the tunes on this app. They have worked out many links sin rolled out. Still takes a while to load sometimes and no Chromecast in app but the catalogue is awesome! They keep adding bands too. I bought an annual subscription last year and will keep it forever. No substitute for crispy sbd's of all these bands one day after the show, with the entire back catalogue too. Offline listening is great too, I can't stream at work so this is a great way to listen to a couple of new shows a day. Go get it

I love it, for the most part. Playback is great and I love that I can stream lossless audio. There aren't as many artists as I had hoped there might be, but I understand that's likely due to the artists and not necessarily nugs. The only real problem is the UI, and it's a big problem. I do not like the current interface for seeking through tracks, like, at all. I've noticed a lot of stuttering and occasional freezes when navigating through the app. Finally, the overall design aesthetic is just kind of bland. Put some love into those areas and this is easily nearing five stars, for me. Feature idea: ability to browse shows by city and/or venue would be sweet.
