EyeCT (Unreleased) for Android
It will place a permanent notification on your screen (the eye icon), showing that it's running. To stop location reporting temporarily, click the location off symbol in the notification. If you want to quit EyeCT, and remove it from your notifications until you either launch it again or reboot, click the X symbol in the notification. (You may need to drag the bottom of the notification to have it show the buttons).
There is also a lightning bolt icon, which toggles EyeCT starting in the background after every boot, waiting for Ingress to launch. This way, you don't have to click the EyeCT launcher icon to start Ingress and have EyeCT start sending your location.
On EyeCT being run for the first time, the accessibility settings menu will appear. It is necessary for you to turn on the accessibility service for EyeCT, so it can know when Ingress is open and active. (If you want this first run feature to work, don't click the open button at the end of the app install process - click the launcher icon just as you normally would)
