Escala LLANTO, Medición del dolor en bebés

Esta aplicación ayuda a estimar de forma observacional el dolor en niños que no son capaces de expresarse verbalmente. El resultado muestra un índice del 1 al 10 en la escala de dolor Llanto. Esta herramienta ayuda a estimar la intensidad del dolor que el bebé está padeciendo.

La 'escala LLANTO' es la primera escala validada en castellano para medir el dolor en bebés. Está desarrollada en el Hospital Universitario La Paz de Madrid por las unidades de Dolor infantil y Anestesiología Infantil.

Se muestra la escala observacional LLANTO en la que el personal sanitario tiene que escoger en cada uno de los cinco parámetros, que situación se corresponde a la del bebé.

La puntuación total oscilará entre la mínima 0 (ausencia de dolor o no dolor) y la máxima 10 (dolor máximo posible) la puntuación permite distinguir tres niveles de dolor: leve (puntuaciones de 1 a 3), moderado (4 a 6) e intenso (7 a 10)

Algunos de los elementos de la observación consisten en si el niño llora o el tipo de lloro, la postura, respiración, etc.
