About Rhybudd - Zenoss for Android
Rhybudd is a tool to allow Network and Systems Administrators who use use Zenoss to receive Notifications (either via Polling or a ZenPack powered push mechanism) then Acknowledge and manage those Notifications directly from the app.

Rhybudd also provides access to the Zenoss infrastructure data allowing you to view Device information and graphs. NFC tags can be written with a Device identifier allowing you to tap an NFC tag to instantly load up that Device in Rhybudd.
Dock mode has been removed in favour of Android Day Dream mode. Certain widgets now support addition to the Lock screen.
Full support from Zenoss 3.2.1 through to Zenoss 4.2.4 and Zenoss As A Service installations.

• FULL NETWORK ACCESS - Required to access your Zenoss server and Google Cloud Messaging
• YOUR ACCOUNTS - A requirement of Google Cloud Messaging ( http://developer.android.com/google/gcm/gs.html#client ) and for Sync ( http://developer.android.com/training/sync-adapters/creating-sync-adapter.html#DeclareSyncAdapterManifest )
• PREVENT DEVICE FROM SLEEPING - A requirement of Google Cloud Messaging ( http://developer.android.com/google/gcm/gs.html#client )
• VIBRATE - Required to enable Notifications to use the vibrate functionality of your device
• NFC - Required to write to NFC tags and use Android Beam.
• READ / WRITE SYNC SETTINGS - Required to enable regular synchronisation of Zenoss meta data e.g. Device production state ( http://developer.android.com/training/sync-adapters/creating-sync-adapter.html#DeclareSyncAdapterManifest )

You have done such a great job in putting this together. It works well and gives you just what you need. It would be a 5 star if I could figure out how to get an "egg" version of the Rhybud push zenpack and if I could see interface graphs.

This is a very good tool for Zenoss users. It'll be perfect when a user can acknowledge and close events inside the application.

Having very recently switched from Nagios to Zenoss, this is perfect timing. I was keeping my old Nagios running only because there were numerous Android Nagios clients that could alert me when something went down. Now I can phase Nagios out completely.

It's great to be the first one to know when something goes down. This app keeps me in the loop so I can at least act like I'm in control when users call reporting problems! Zenoss is awesome and it's great to have that info with me all the time on my phone. Working nicely on Android 4.0.4 (Samsung Galaxy S3) with Zenoss Core 3.2.1.

Works well for about 30 seconds but continually crashes, have sent dozens of error reports off, but still no fix. Looks to be a brilliant app that does most of the things I'd need it to, if only it would work for more than a minute

On Samsung Ace this app behaves well with a list of just below 100 monitored units in the Zenoss. Wish list: - To be able to clear event list from ack'ed events. - To be able to chose not to see more events from a unit ( Like a block-list). - chose set sound for different type of events or even units. Errors found so far: - Widgets are missing. - Javascript problems when reading in details from events. Well - my face is a big smile! For being a beta it bites a good chunk out of th management effort.
