Having to type in a number to find the switch or carrier info can be done on the web already, no big deal. On a mobile phone it would appear to be intuitive to provide the information for calls that arrive by selecting a number from the call history or the contacts. The application doesn't actually tell who called, so its name is misleading. It just provides CLEC or carrier and rate center information. Seems this app functions to drive website traffic to their site, which is very good, btw.

First of all: GREAT APP, and great name. I did a google search for "who was that" to find a phone number reverse lookup app. Yours obviously came up. Second, it would be killer if it interfaced with my history so the app could show the info of people who just called, rather than having to type in a phone number. Do this but only for phone numbers that show up as unknown caller.

Typed in a phone number and hit search, but nothing happened. Also agree on the bad app name, but I knew the intended purpose before installing.

Does not provide subscriber name (John Doe), only the major telco like ATT, Verizon, TMobile, etc

It used to work now once I tap Lookup it just highlights and sits there.

I find it very useful to look up the provider for a phone number to message them, and this app does precisely that. Kudos.

Another BS story, only tells where call is from, no name given...who cares where its from, we want to know who called, stop the BS!

Search button/functionality broken on the Motorola Razr anyway. Great site, poor app.

So far, every # I looked up - cells & landlines, it immediately gave the carrier, city & even an approximate map. I noticed no individual names were given, but did give names of businesses. Privacy laws are observed, though would have liked more info, so, googled the business name & got needed info. Recommend.

If you want to know the location of the origination of the call, but no info about the caller at all.
