Podcast Now is a dedicated podcast media player. Featuring a Library, Player and Playlist. Easy to use controls making this an easy to use application.
My aim is to make this the easiest podcast player to use. No learning difficult interfaces and options, just get down to listening to your podcasts and audiobooks. I aim to keep this commitment for now and into the future.
Compatible with ICS 2.2 and above using the new Jellybean 4.4 interface.
Podcast Now requires the following permissions:
PHONE CALLS
READ PHONE STATE AND IDENTITY
INTERCEPT OUTGOING CALLS
Podcast Now will pause your pod should a phone call come in, resuming it again after you hang up. We do not collect any other information about your phone or your calls.
STORAGE
MODIFY/DELETE USB STORAGE CONTENTS MODIFY/DELETE SD CARD CONTENTS
Allows Podcast Now to access the sd card where you store your podcasts
SYSTEM TOOLS
MOUNT AND UNMOUNT FILESYSTEMS
Allows Podcast Now to check that an sd-card is mounted.
FULL INTERNET ACCESS
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

Hey! I took a look for you. It is a start, however there are a LOT of bugs. For a start, lots of audio files were incorrectly labeled, to the point that a few of my files were labeled "REPLACED WITH CODE". Playing files caused a crash and force close. It is very slow in the menus, particularly when scrolling. I take it the Library list is a list of folders or artists, and I suggest also putting in Android playlist support. The physical back button responds oddly. It isn't functional but keep at it.
