WebServer (httpd) for Android
Its simply great . I don't really think configuration of this server is any big deal for beginners.
after trying some other apps this one really worked for me
Using httpd tm5 to teach basic html5 coding so far so good
Have menu for cgi will get 5*****.
Nice and simple, no BS.
Works good no problems at all really good
A great app
Good very good
good
Simple
It's simple and serves its purpose.
This makes it easy to send files from my android phone to my kindle paperwhite. Just use Kindle's browser to download from folder on phone. Kws didn't work. Note your IP address might change after you start tethering on phone so restart httpd after that. Very useful! Can view sdcard too.
Even with no auth set, browse insisted on authentication. Index.html in docroot not found. No documentation. No help. Uninstalled!

So far, this web server works best of at least eight that I tried. PAW actually looked more professional but it locked up on me. That is not something I want to deal with. One "free" one requested a paid license before it would actually work. Another failed citing "unknown processor".Some of the other web servers worked okay or "kind of" worked but not as good as WebServer (httpd). After testing so many, WebServer (httpd) did eventually fail while indicating that it was working. This was probably from leftover crap from other test web servers. I simply uninstalled and reinstalled to get it working again.
