The Children's Institute

The Children’s Institute is an independent, nonprofit, licensed organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, young people and their families by providing a specialized continuum of services that enables them to reach their potential. These services include the following: Medical & Therapy Services, Educational Services, and Child & Family Services.
Our Medical & Therapy Services include a 62-bed inpatient unit and numerous outpatient rehabilitation services for children and young adults. Our Educational Services are provided through The Day School, an Approved Private School for children ages 2 to 21 with neurological impairments, including autism. Child & Family Services are provided through Project STAR, which promotes the right of all children, especially those with physical, emotional and intellectual disabilities, to grow in safe, nurturing, lasting families.
