LiveATC for Android

Excellent, Just what I was as looking for. I am currently studying for my 61 and 107. Being able to listen to the pilots live, gives an excellent perspective to proper communications with ATC. This will definitely help me on my tests. For those of you that can't figure out how to close it, its simple. Goto recent apps and clear the app, then goto your notification tab and hit stop. It will end your data usage and close the app.

I may be missing it but there is no United Kingdom / Great Britain. Other wise a great app worth the money. And great for learning the ATC "calls" . But needs update in countries. It might just be me but it's not to clear either. Sometimes I cannot understand the pilots or the atc.

Posting a review because I was able to stop it playing via the usual notification controls. A lot of people are complaining but it works like any music or podcast or any other kind of sound player app.

I listened to "Kansas City Downtown Airport" (Wheeler) every single day UNTIL THEY REMOVED IT! If you have 'established ATC streaming, maintain what you have. You need to get this reinstated and back online.

Great app, works well, not all frequencies are available at all airports however that's something for the community to work on. There is a problem with the PDF reader, the airport diagrams keep flashing which makes them unreadable.

Is there any possible way you guys could include some cities in Africa especially Johannesburg because I didn't see it listed in your comments for one of the places that has laws prohibiting this and your response to my question would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!!

Update - lowered rating due to the inability to easily stop the app. This has lead to several awkward situations where it starts blaring atc audio when I don't want it to. For example when un-plugging ear buds or when it connects after a network disconnect.

Very good app, it is nice to listen to traffic at the local airport. Like many others have said, you can't turn if off. I have a Samsung S8+, I can never stop the app. Reboot to turn it off.

Way too much feedback on the radio. I can't even understand what they are saying because the static is terrible. Looks like I will have to go back to the desktop, it's the only way to get a clear signal.

Lately the only thing the app does is spin in the loading screen and then show an error. Pixel phone. Wifi and LTE. Don't waste your money.

Missing a ton of airports, only.hits the big ones and a few misc. In pa. Poor data base

I love the app in every way, it really is fantastic. I do want to know if this most recent update causes it to not keep playing when you leave the app or not because mine will not do that anymore. It could be my phone but it's nice to have it play out of the app so I can track the flights I hear. Overall it's well worth it.

I want to know when Batta is in a emergency​ ~ but ... Quack... There's no Abu Dhabi, plus Dubai is unavailable, so I'd just have to travel there in the future than.

My airport OPKC is blank. Not an issue with the phone because i have checked other airports and they are fine. OPKC is simply silence. Is anyone going to help fix the OPKC transmission. Thats the reason i bought the app in the first place.

It works smoothly if and only if that particular channel is available. For some reason Baton Rouge (kbtr) is unavailable a significant amount of time.

I do not usually rate apps but this app is worth the $3.99 it really is all the airports work and the only thing I didn't like was there is no option for the UK but still a great app really hope they get London and other British airport's soon tho

Works great for me. I'm a commercial pilot and I use it regularly to monitor some of the airport's I fly to in order to keep tabs of the traffic situation so I can anticipate possible ATC delays during bad weather days. Many of the bad reviews here seem to be focused on availability issues of various channels, and I don't think many of those people realize that this app really just provides access to the many volunteer receiver stations that are provided by other people around the world, and doesn't have any control over their availability or the quality of their data streaming. It works great for what it does, and I especially like the METAR weather data displayed with the stations, as it helps give context to what you're listening to.

Awesome app! Best money I ever spent on an app. If you are a frequent flyer and or air travel enthusiast, it's a must have. Be in the know with the pilots!

I dont write reviews much but this app is awesome. Adding the UK would be nice.

I love the LiveATC service. In the end, this app delivers LiveATC on my mobile and that's 90% of what I care about. My biggest request: implement the Android Auto media APIs so that I can start LiveATC and choose channels from the screen of my car!

It would be nice to get all of England airports on here to but anyone now how to get them on there can they let me know please plus can you put East Midlands Airport (EMA'EGNX m ( and Birmingham Airport BHX on please

It is very difficult to turn the app off. I couldn't find an "off" button and found it impossible to turn the app off without going into settings, app manager and hitting "force stop". Aside from that it is a great app, with easy to use interface and a huge number of ATC stations available for listening.

As at least one has noted, how do you turn it off??? I like the app, but, not convenient or kind to have it on always. Unless quick response I will ask for refund. My work does not compliment this problem.

I'm using LiveATC on PC for 10 years now and fully understand the limitations of the service that's dependent on participants worldwide and the delay through the website compared to a real radio beside me. Having that feed through cell data is cool and propagation problems on the ground is gone. CYYZ listener.

It's a great tool to monitor traffic, not always can I carry my radio. But it stops without any notice. Since I live in an area with low to medium traffic there are always moments of silence, so sometimes when those moments become too long I look to my phone and realize it stopped. How long did I miss? No clue. So the app becomes a bit "unreliable".

This app is the perfect way to get a feeling for what's going on above us and it is very interesting. Unfortunately you can't listen to German ATC but that's related to the law. A shame. Wonderful app though!! :-)

Please add sydney melbourne and brisbane centre frequencies ..please and ysbk bankstown tower frequency is out and unavailable so please fix this asap.i am waiting for your reply. .thanks

Doesn't include most of the countries and no virus at to key in desired frequency. Pure rubbish. I demand my money back.

Browser interface is better: app locks you out for 4 or 5 minutes once a week or so while it updates database of frequencies you never use

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, with Marshmallow. The app randomly crashes. Even after I got it uninstalled, after a phone reboot, I still get the notification the app has crashed. Something's not right!!

Needs to be updated on Airport frequencies because at one point Chicago O'Hare was coming in and now I cannot get any of O'Hare's frequencies.

Got this for local feeds, how can one of the world's busiest airports not be online,,,,ohare has been offline since july 2016, so for me this is basically useless

add to this the paid version of 'flight radar' for watch track correlate and listen. entertaining as well as a learning implement for those new pilots and air traffic controllers looking for added practice.

Widgets only start to play audio. To stop playing you have go into system tray and tap stop. Make widgets start AND stop audio and I'll give 5 stars.

Shame no UK atc, but it does state that. It's great to watch Flight Radar & listen this app at the same time.

Great in funtionality. But the UI still looks dull. Dev, please improve the LIve ATC image and icon etc.
