Lemur for Android
Pathetic, absolutely pathetic, really tried to make this work on different systems and tablets for a long time, can't even do simple mappings, chances are it's going to double map something on the same address before you even get to map 10 items. Customer support does not answer most of the time, and sometimes it takes months to answer (no joke) and when they do, it's this bored dude, who will stop answering if your problem is not solved after 2 replies. Because this was not working I got Touch OSC and it works straight up, it's 4 times cheaper and is much more straightforward. Having to connect the lemur daemon each time is a drag and cumbersome and it feels like 1998. As far as I am concerned this is a scam these guys are pulling off using the Lemur name, they bought the name from the original Lemur, but that is the only connection to the original. I really feel cheated and robbed by these guys.
This app is totally worth it. I wouldn't bother typing this out here if it wasn't.
Abandonware... No reply on forums or from their support email.. hoping Google can refund
25$ Just crashes
..it has a template u can make use of
So far so good
Well i can't get a stable connection, if i can get one at all between my macbook pro and nexus 7. And as for being committed to getting me up and running? i can'r even get an automated reply email.its cool when it DOES work
Lemur now works perfectly with note 5 after previously being unresponsive on the new Android OS. Update fixed the problem. :-)
All issues fixed and sought after features added! Awesome work!
Finally the version 5.3.3 is excellent in all aspects!
Please add support for class compliant USB to Midi cables.
An ipad app in android land

The android app keeps crashing...the adhoc instructions for Mac setup does not show up on my android tablet. It's a really complex with lack of enough basic walk throughs. Read through the manual and watched the tutorial vids but still can't manage to get it working smoothly. Please help out a bit here...
This is the best DAW controller app available for Android- hands down. I got a Samsung Tab A 9.7 for this specifically for Xmas, and luckily the app was on sale for $10. The main reason for my interest in this was because I've worn out the USB cable on a few pad-based MIDI controllers (Trigger Finger, MPD32) so the idea of a wireless controller with editing software was very appealing and so far, I love it. I first was relying on the User Library from the website (all the IPad templates work perfectly with my tablet) then I started creating my own. I like how you can edit a project through the editor and see instant results on your tablet with no wire needed, but I do wish this version had the in-app editor that the IOS has. Still, this version is much easier to customize than the original since you don't need an Ethernet cable.
It works but it's really slow when there's a lot of faders on screen. Touchosc is a lot faster and easier to make work with Reaper. Not been updated for a year.
This is an ultimate favorite for my ableton sessions
Takes some setting up, but the amount of control is wonderful
wanted this for using complex daw setup, which was unfortonately made for ipad. it just breaks down on a nexus 7, either scrollbars or using the lemur editor to scale it it just breaks the layout. i wanted to run Binder, a Reaper control surface..
Non scalable UI. Crashes. PC download requires email address. Mystifying instructions. Didn't work. Too much $$ for low quality.
Had a galaxy s3 and it worked perfectly. Tried it when I upgraded to a new note 5 and it doesn't work at all!
A full screen button would be terrific. There is a lot of wasted space framing the interface on my nexus 7 (older version). For some reason it works fine on my newer Nexus 7 (2013).
I love almost everything about this app, I wish though that it had more options in terms of aesthetics. Also it can lose connection when the user switches to another app.
(Again) Buggy with glitches. When it works, it doesn't do it fully, and the system is very fragile
android version seems like the neglected stepchild to the iOS version - doesn't support OTG usb->midi. They wouldn't give me a refund when I found that out after purchase.
Many bugs were ironed out, now it is quite usable! Please add the immersive mode to save more space and complete Android 5.x compatibility. In my experience the 3rd party immersive mode app makes it unresponsive, so please make it native. Otherwise my LG G-Pad 8.0 with Android 5.x runs it smoothly.
The only two issues i have now, is that it would be awesome to have Immersive mode on this app, so that we can use 100% of the screen real estate, and an always on toggle, so the app forces the device to have it's screen on. There are 3rd party apps that does work for this tho, so one can come around those problems. But would be nice to have the Lemur app have those features.
This the ultimate MIDI/OSC ever made, out now on android ... my dream come true ! Just another midi editor, that also support sysex support by the way, for any pad ? no, this app contain alive controller that will make you music just more creative. working fine with Android Box mxIII + HT231, Galaxy tab pro, ....
Had to do a bit of work to get the Live Control template (the reason everyone buys this app) to fit on my Nexus 10. Clips scroll off the screen and never come back. The touch points on the sequencer don't align to the button images. And then there are the crashes. Let's hope it improves in future builds. In the meantime I'll have to build my own templates.
... far superior to ios first release. A few glitches, fonts, gradients, and sequencer solidity but very very usable. Find the Lemur resolution: in the app under Project in the menu and use that for the custom resolution in the editor to resize templates. On an FHD+ tablet it's likely to be half the hardware resolution, presumably to reduce cpu drain. True for retina ipads too, so no short change here. Impressed and I'd been waiting a long time for it. Otg usb midi would put it in overshadowing ios territory...
I literally bought an Android tablet solely to run Lemur. I was already using it on my iPad to control background apps along with my iPhone aka Mini Lemur. I was expecting a disaster considering Android's impossibly fragmented ecosystem, but you all pulled it off! I consider myself lucky to spend around $200 total for what is essentially a top of the line midi command center. Think of some of the limited hardware controllers on the market in the $200 price range that Lemur can not only emulate but exceed.
Class compliant USB midi devices are supported on Android , why not in Lemur?
With ad hoc connection to mac book pro, it works perfectly with very low latency.
A full screen button would be terrific. There is a lot of wasted space framing the interface on my nexus 7.
I'm having trouble understanding how to link the android tablet to the Macbook via usb and finally to connect it to Ableton 9. Please help me get this going and I'll boost my review and pass the information to others.
Unfortunately the Layouts are not usable on the 1280x720 Screen of the Galaxy S3, becaue the highest resolution to be selected is: 640x316.
Just excellent
It works on Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet. However the resolution seems to be locked to 960x520 which is a bad match both to the Z2 and noticeably also to the Android reference tablet for Lemur - Nexus 7. Changing the resolution to the Z2 native resolution within the desktop edit program only results in scroll bars since the app doesn't actually change resolution accordingly. Possibly I'm doing it wrong though. Setting up is a bummer, but that's arguably not Liine's fault. Maybe their daemon software could expose MIDI-ports directly so there was no need for an extra third party software (that isn't bundled).
Loaded the app up and started making a quick template to control my Octatrack. X/Y tracking in the app is way off, can't even move a slider. Touch controls need to be fixed.
