About SNTP Client

Simple Network Time Protocol (NTP) Client which polls internet time servers for the most accurate time you can get on your device.

NOTE: An offset of 15 seconds means your phone is set to GPS time (no leap-seconds).

Works intermittently. For some unclear reason stops updating and appears to freeze up. HTC EVO.

J70%

Excessive jitter. Doesn't update display consistently. Nexus One

Wish i understood half the info this app puts out. The perfect android geek app. A help file would not hurt.

Y70%
by Y####:

Freezes a lot.

C70%
by C####:

Nice simple UI, but does not sync system time even if rooted.

T70%
by T####:

App does not conform to NTP standard and adjusts the 'time' after receiving every NTP message, resulting in the displayed NTP time jumping (rather than polling several sources and making an average travel time and getting a steady result...)

M70%
by M####:

If I can set server time to local - this will be excellent

M70%
by M####:

Lovely, tiny, does everything it needs to. HTC Desire, unrooted.

M70%

This is what I need for acurate Satellite Tracking. Thanks from ON1DQD

M70%
by M####:

Great application. Allows me to get accurate US standard time down to the second with my pc. Thanks!

M70%
by M####:

Works excellent! It would be nice to have an offset graph or even support multiple NTP servers.

M70%
by M####:

Makes it impossible to use as a reference clock

M70%
by M####:

Nice technical overview of live NTP data. However, the usefulness of the application is limited because it does not set device time on rooted phones.

M70%
by M####:

Great app. Would be even greater if root users could actually set the system clock.

M70%
by M####:

Shame you cannot change clock from app (due to Android OS limitation), but still a very useful.

M70%
by M####:

Works well. Too bad the clock display cant be larger...

X70%
by X####:

Doesn't update display unless going into settings and back - xperia arc

M70%
by M####:

I have root & I still can't set time.

M70%

Force close. Froyo (2.2) with root/superuser2.1

If you want autostart and background service use Sytrant =)

What am I going to do with my extra 15 seconds?

M70%
by M####:

Can we use it to update device clock?

P70%
by P####:

Device is rooted, but can not find way to set clock.

F70%
by F####:

There's no option to sync the device clock with this app even if rooted

M70%
by M####:

Not working well on galaxy S2 too, wont update unless setting and back

D70%
by D####:

I'm sure it's an "Android thing" that System Time can only be updated on a Rooted device. Too bad. But why is the main time at the top of page in AM and PM? Why no menu choice for 24 hour mode, or choice for using the Selected Choice under Date/Time.

O70%
by O####:

CDMA keeps resetting system time, however I use this program to set other clocks. Recommended.

D70%
by D####:

... it bout be nice if app had option to set device time if rooted.

D70%
by D####:

Does not adapt display size - on my Google Nexus 7, display only fits 2/3 on my screen, the rest of it hangs off the side and bottom into invisible space. Unfortunately a lot of great data - including the time - is in that area I can't see!

D70%
by D####:

No adverts works as advertised.

Y70%
by Y####:

This is the best accurate clock I have found. The live times are the reason I like it. The ntp detail it shows is cool. It would be even better if I could view just the ntp time in a big font while I set the clocks around my house.

D70%
by D####:

New version fixed the update bug. Great program for verification of NTP servers.

X70%
by X####:

Works as advertised, simple and accurate NTP clien

D70%
by D####:

Works fine

D70%
by D####:

Still requires root when so much malware has Android root access! Also dvc clock stalled in Gingerbread on evo 4G (gps-based, still). No ntp fetch.

D70%
by D####:

Nice application, it helps me check the NTP server I manage. The screen stopped updating automatically. I need to go in settings and back

J70%
by J####:

I have root, can I set my local time? Summary makes it sound like it's possible for rooted devices. Would be great!

D70%
by D####:

Neary very useful... if only it could set the time too! (I have root access)
