Simply Weather gives you just the forecast in detail. I created this app in response to weather apps with flashy graphics that tell you almost nothing about the day’s weather. This app will tell you the forecast for your location, based on the forecast from the US National Weather Service. It includes current conditions, predicted highs, lows and winds as well as chance and amount of precipitation for a full week. It also tells you when the precipitation is likely to occur. It’s quick and easy. I think you’ll like it.
Coverage:
United States, excepting Alaska. US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico also supported.
Other features:
- Quick and lightweight. Only occupies 200KB of storage.
- Forecasts written in clear, English sentences.
- Forecasts extend for a full week into the future.
- Multiple locations supported.
- Table of wind speed, wind direction and temperature revealed via horizontal swipe.

This is exactly what I needed. It is easy to use and easy to understand. And it is the REAL forecast from the weather service! I also love that it remembers multiple locations and loads up quickly!

I installed this because the official weather service app broke, consistently returning server errors. This does what is says and is an adequate replacement, but I'd like a little more detail in the reports and for the app to display location info.
