About The Coverage Project
The coverage project is a community in which users of mobile telephony can measure, verify, control and compare the quality of service offered by different mobile operators within a common region, with the aim of improving it. The Coverage Project will help you to understand which operator has better signal anywhere you are.
Just by having the app installed you are contributing to the project. Leave it installed and you will be able to see how the coverage map starts to be completed in your area if there are no measurements available from your operator in your region yet.
Run The Coverage Project both during your daily journeys and in your trips by car, train or any public transport, and you will be able to see the quality and signal strength along your route using the coverage maps.
The Coverage Project will allow you to:
- Measure and monitor the quality of your mobile service;
- Obtain and compare public information regarding the coverage provided by the mobile operators of each region
- See coverage and 4G LTE signal maps
- Find out which mobile operators have 4G LTE signal available in your region
- Verify the technology in use and the signal strength: GSM GPRS 2G, HDSPA HDSPA+ 3G, 4G LTE
- Share with others through social networks (like Twitter) your measurements and results.
- Use the service for free and without advertisement
IMPORTANT: the system does not gather personal information of the user (contact list, IDs, content of the messages, call interception, etc.)—we will only take the data that your phone measures as regards coverage and network parameters in an anonymous way.
The Coverage Project is an open community, sponsored by Iquall Networks, whose aim is to improve the quality of the mobile telephony service. Through the app you will be able to obtain measurements about the state of the network from your phone, in real time and for free.
By visiting the website of the project – www.thecoverageproject.org – you will be able to obtain interactive oinformation about the coverage of all the operators of each country.
If the mobile operators listed in your country are not correct or any are missing, or if you have a problem using the app or you have any advice or query, please send us your comments to: http://www.thecoverageproject.org/contact
This app is part of The Coverage Project, and it is an application totally free and financed by the project. Inside the app you will not find any third party’s advertisements and all the information gathered will be sent anonymously.
