LAppSter (Launch Apps Faster), formerly FAppSter (Fast App Starter), is a small and fast search engine for the installed apps on your android phone or tablet.
It works with every launcher and extends the search feature.
If you have a lot of apps (more than 20) on your device, LAppSter helps you to start, kill or uninstall the installed apps on a quick and easy way.
Normally, you start your apps by the launcher, but every launcher offers only limited space for icons.
This is enough if you use only 10-20 apps - in this case you don't need LAppSter.
But if you have a lot of apps on your device?
Do you know the situation, that you are wasting much time during searching, wiping and scrolling to the app, which is not on your home screen? Do you still waste your time during searching some app in Settings/Application Manager for killing or uninstalling it?
In this case LAppSter can simplify and optimize the access to your apps.
LAppSter uses the own, tiny and quick keyboard (now with QWERTY and QWERTZ) and is even faster than the default search box and shows the recently started apps on the top of the list.
List: Tap starts the selected app, tap on the i-Button shows the app details
Grid: Short tap starts the app, long tap shows the app details
Additionally to automatical keywords (tags), you can define your own manual tags, which are primarily regarded if you search some app.
If you want, LAppSter can be simply opened by Search-Button (> Android 4.1) and can replace the standard slow Google Now searchbox.
The new widget allows you to minimize LAppSter during usage of other apps and quickly access the apps if needed.

The main function cannot be faulted. It is soooo quick and there is no battery or memory drain to speak of. Anything else I have tried (and there has been maaany many many) that even got close to the speed of this either zapped the battery and/or RAM. Those of you who don't see the point clearly haven't had 250 or so apps where most app drawers gives lag from hell or freeze. With this 2 or 3 letter presses always filter down to the one i want. No other app using a similar dailer manages to do that.
