Jewish (Hi)sto­ries

“I drea­med of home almost every night.” – These are the first words of the inter­view in which Simon Man­del descri­bes his childhood in Prenz­lauer Berg before World War II. The audio app tells the story of several Jewish inha­bi­tants of the area around Koll­witz­platz in the 1920s and 1930s, spread out bet­ween 19 audio points. Their sto­ries reflect ever­y­day life on the streets of Prenz­lauer Berg, family life, expe­ri­en­ces at school, as well as the incre­a­sin­gly anti-Jewish mood of the city.
