Handy Scanner Free PDF Creator

Unable to test free version properly as you seem to be able to take one or two pictures before it tell you to buy paid version. So I was unable to use it enough to know if I liked it

When we open a file and zoom in It and if we rotate mobiles orientation then file disappears. please work on it.

Never fax or scan to pdf again. Yes, the free version has limits but if you upload the docs to the cloud or email them, you can then just delete them from the app.

Everytime I scanned and tried to save, app crashed leaving an empty file. Cam scanner much better.

Used to be great but now quality is terrible! Blurry images! I have the correct settings! HTC One M8

Mediocre and set up to demand upgrade after 2 images. Other apps equal in quality and still free.

This app is not intuitive at all. It requires a lot of pausing, pondering, reconsideration, and comprehension before one can continue to the OCR stage. It is not a user friendly app

I like this!... it does a good job! Although images are still clear and usable. they seem 'dark' even if I use the camera's flash. But still great, and does a respectable job when no where near a scanner. I'm still using the FREE version, and I'm thinking that the PRO version might be better, and have more options?! Hope so.

I use free camscanner on my phone but it's not free for the nexus 7 .... This app is much easier to learn, also the find corners feature is awesome, makes it even easier!!! I'm going to switch to this app on my S3 too!

This is kinda awkward compared to Camscanner but that doesn't allow scanning with low battery. This does but less user friendly.

When i can convert image to PDF then Handy Scanner (Your signature) is written in the last line of pdf page and this is one that make my pdf bad.

NOT DIFFICULT TO USE. CAN BE ADJUSTED SIMPLY TO PRODUCE A WORKABLE RESULT. GOOD. NO NEED FOR A LOT OF BELLS AND WHISTLES TO MAKE IT OVERLY COMPLICATED. THANKS.

I pictured a few receipts and that looked good. The pictures needed to be cropped and the app put nice frames around them. From there I had no clue what to do. Two different icons offered sharing and I tried the one that looked like the Adobe logo to send an email to myself. Mail was empty. Will uninstall

What makes it versatile is it auto detects corners, corrects perspective, and enhances images for fax, colour print or b/w printing. But I removed a star because it seems to capture using the lowest resolution possible. I know it's a freebie version but I was hoping it would use at least 200 DPI at the medium setting but it seems to use something below 80 DPI with no indication if we pay the whopping upgrade fee, of what the upgraded quality of the images would be?

I tried taking photos of documents but they always came out blurred no matter how steady I held the phone. This app solved this problem.

I literally run my business from my phone and tablet. I use this app and its better than any ive tried. Problem is all my scans disappeared before I could enter them into my bookeeping and I dont know why they disappeared. Im in deep trouble losing all of that

I really loved it and it worked really well. But then I accidentally hit restore and it deleted at my picture no back up and no way to undo so there all lost and gone

Initially after seeing the reviews I decided to download this app but it does nothing new other than an interface to crop your image and color optimisation (which I didn't like) so there is still a lot of space for improvement

The title is misleading as in "free" once you comprise 5 documents, I got a prompt detailing "I've exceeded maximum-blah blah blah, upgrade to pro" it'll be a cold day in hell or they start serving ice water (whichever of the two) before I pay.

This app saves alot of time and effort when needing to take care of something. I love the option to be able to select a printable view that's suitable for your documents in any scale. Thanks!!!! Highly recommended!

I was not so sure about this app so I type up a small piece of writing with lots of spelling mistakes, and it only correct one which wasn't a spelling mistake anyway. Rubbish!!

I've tested loads of similar apps. This one seems the best I've come across so far. Lots of print options. I love how it can transform your document scans into a traditional photocopy. Very legible and great for printing.

it works ok for now, but I had to pay after just 5 pages! and I still dont know where the pdf document is saved! can someone tell me where in the phone the pdf is? i dont want to email it or send to dropbox only! Thanks

Just created 2 pdf documents. A very good experience so far. Quick, easy to use and meets all the expectations.

I have a galaxy note 3. Handy scanner doesn't seem to use the camera to its full capacity. Focus is blurred and quality of scans are so poor they are not legible. I have played with camera settings but it doesn't make a difference. Handy scan seems to take control of the camera and doesn't allow me to change to a higher resolution. Perhaps there is a setting I haven't seen yet.

1. You should add a "get our pro version" button somewhere. You'll lose customers without it. 2. You may want to replace your corner detection with side/line detection. Corners are usually more crumbled, while the page sides are (in my experience) more accurately detectible. Going pro version now!

I work away from office kst of the time so needed a fast way to get Info back to bookkeeper. Just downloaded and put it to work. Awesome!! So far no problems. Will give five star if no problems after I have used more. Tuanks for great app!

I wrote an email to these guys and also a review 2 maths ago about the point below. I still have not heard anything and clearly sales is not their priority after they have your money. I'm moving to a real app with customer service. I would recommend this app however i have the paid version on my tablet and it refuses to recognise this on my phone it tried to make me pay again please tell me how i can sort this out handy scanner thank you. I look at other competitors and developers answer within days. This had been two weeks now and nothing. I have paid the product and just don't want to pay again. Please help

I downloaded this app seeing its popularity on my MI3.. the UI is quite intuitive and the functioning is quick However, the scanned documents were blurred I first checked if there was some problem with the camera...however, it clicked perfect pictures otherwise... So I realized that the scanner app itself was making the pictures blurred, to force users to buy the app...what a waste of time!!

This app worked great until auto updates on new phone allowed them to limit its abilities. The time wasted trying to get it to work earns them a $70 bill. Please send cash

Scanned first documents - was easy and it looked great, but evey time I tried to email it to myself, the email arrived without the pdf attached. Not going to waste any more time on this one.

Easy to use, emailed it to my inbox quickly, pictures were really nice. Unfortunately the text was totally unreadable. Tried 3 times but no difference. Uninstalling it.

The end result is NOT a .pdf file but an instead an image saved as .pdf which is pretty lame. And, don't be fooled by the language.. the description says save as .pdf or .jpeg and YES I know the difference. Other than that it does have an easy to use user interface (UI) and stitches the images together which is nice for multiple page letters, contracts, etc... which is the only reason I gave 2 stars. Come up with a true, editable, .pdf scanner and you'll get 5 stars across the board!

Take a picture, crop it, then save it as PDF. What could be easier? I use it to save receipts.

I love this app I don't like that it's limited to 3 docs. I need multiple docs on a pdf at A time and 3 won't do it.

New update of google drive does exvellent job of scanning something into pdf and directly in google drive.

I love this app! Saves me so much time. It is crazy easy to use, very intuitive. Does exactly what it should with some extras. It would be well worth the purchase. My only criticism is corner detection is could be better.

This handy little scanner does the trick and is cheaper than buying a scanner for my computer.

Nice app ! But we want more improvement ie., crystal clear pdf document.
