About Spectrogram

Spectrogram is a … spectrogram viewer which allows time frequency analysis.
-FFT resolution from 32 to 65536
-9 window algorithms to reduce spectrum leakage
-fast pause/resume button
-day or night mode

Note that amplitude value is not displayed because would cannot be accurate without calibration for your device.

This would be a solid 5 star for me of it could simply show the spectrum without having to record any audio. Something like a monitor mode where it just shows a live spectrograph. I do a lot of sound and stage work. A feature like what I'm suggesting would make this a staple app for me. What it does so far is great. I sincerely appreciate that it's completely add free. So one tweak to it and you get 5 stars and a recommendation to other professionals from me.

by Z####:

Perfect colors, nice window choices, but these are largely irrelevant. Best improvement would be more options for frequency range to display and number of points for width of spectrogram. Need to be able to change x and y ranges.

If this app can show spectrum from audio file it will be 5 star

While this is one of the better analyzers, it lacks usefull features like the ability to zoom, save and load the spectrum. If you're not looking for features like that this isn't bad. I've yet to find an app with editing features like souund or harmonic removal like the ISSE spectrogram editor for computers, but I have found other apps that are further along for these types of things. Again not bad for what it is.

Although a bit lacking in features, it's simple and ad-free. A fullscreen mode without the white top bar would be very nice though.

The actual spectogram is fast and accurate but it's too small. It should zoom or be able to show certain frequencies only. Or at least we should be able to get rid of the waveform to gain space. Also something really helpful would be to be able to tap on the spectogram to see the exact frequencies of what we sing or play.

It's ok but the UI bugs out on me when I click each windows title to enter fullscreen mode. The spectrograph is drawn backwards too

Z70%
by Z####:

Lacks one CRUCIAL feature: you can't zoom in a specific frequency range. Voices and instruments are at the very bottom of the graph.

Awesomr make it so we can

I wish I could analyze songs from storage like spek does on computer

Impressive app very helpful for use with a speech recognition project I'm working on!

Need to be able to expand the display. Low audio is too compressed. Stereo input from external USB soundcard would be excellent. Galaxy Tab S2.

I tried it on lavender toun well find out yourself

But you can't control the frequency axis much so you just can't see the voice spectrum very well.

Default frequency is too wide sometimes.

I watched a video which had a spectrogram message, nothing came out of it though....the video was called Inquiry by totheark

Please fix that and the app will be much better

One of the better spectrograph apps on the play store, would be nicer if you could adjust the scales on the graph

E70%
by E####:

The app works well, but I wish you could zoom in to some specific frequencies. The intent seems to be for high frequencies outside of human hearing. As a vocalist, I wish to see more of the human speaking range. Not for me, but a good app nonetheless.

It would be wonderful to be able to limit the graphic to a lower frequency, though. Voices can get too concentrated in the bottom. Putting it in log mode helps but it's not a perfect solution.

U70%
by U####:

Unfortunately, the only way I could find to lower the frame length (changing the resolution) drastically reduced the quality as well, making it useless for most of the things I wanted to look at. I am not sure if this is a glitch or simply a problem with FFT, but it seems like I should just be able to zoom in on the high quality visualization (and the screenshots would suggest that that's possible). Except for that however, it is quite respectable spectrograph app overall.

First and foremost, it would be much more useful for my needs (classical singer) if it had a frequency range selector, since i really only need a couple KHz. Also features like importing recorded audio, tabbed comparison of two files... Think about developing it a bit more, I don't think there's a proper Android app that could cater to singers and voice analysis, compared to the iWorld. Would gladly shell out some money for it.
