Go It Alone: Patronus enables you to live your life on your terms. Keep a lifeline to emergency services on early morning runs or late night city streets. Share your location with a friend or partner as backup on your solitary adventures. You don't need to walk alone while walking at night.
Location Smart Up to 90% of 911 calls from mobile phones are missing location data. Patronus ensures that you get to the right help by routing you correctly and, in our network, providing the dispatcher with your exact location. Plus, turn your Android into a virtual landline at up to 20 addresses of your choice.
Get to the closest help Unlike dialing 911, Patronus routes you directly to Public Safety on any of the hundreds of campuses in our network, providing dispatchers your location within 60 feet.

On My Way: Whether you’re on your way to meet someone, letting a friend know you got home safely, or just want company while walking alone at night, share your location with friends and family while traveling from place to place.
Choose contacts to follow your trip, and Patronus will text a map of your location. Once you reach your destination, your followers will receive a text notification of your safe arrival, and location sharing will turn off.
I’m Here: A quicker way to share on the go. Send a quick snapshot of your location to a friend, partner or parent to let them know you’re safe and sound.
Request Help: Faster and more accurate than dialing 911. Patronus uses refined GPS to automatically route your call to the nearest emergency services, whether that be Campus Security, Ski Patrol or local law enforcement.
From a campus or city in the Patronus network, the dispatcher gets your position without you having to speak. Out of network, your address appears over the dialer, so you don’t have to think or look around when the dispatcher asks you for your location.
Upon calling for help, you can choose to simultaneously alert your emergency contacts with an SMS containing a link to a map of your location.
The Request Help button also acts as a "dead man switch." Hold down the button when feeling unsafe; to call for help, simply let go.
Patronus Places: Every landline is registered in a database so that 911 instantly knows where you're calling from. With the new Patronus Places, you can cut the cord and save on your monthly bill.
From home to work, register up to 20 addresses in the 911 database, down to the apartment or suite number. And because you can change your Places anytime, it's perfect for vacations and family visits. Landline reliability, mobile convenience.
Lock Screen Widget: Emergency help is only two taps away when you install Patronus on your lockscreen.

If you're going to download just one app today, make it this one! I've been using this app for over a year now, both as a student and a young professional in a big city, and I can't heap enough praise on it. I can let people know when I've arrived to my destinations safely, and know that I can access 911 in a snap if it ever arises. Plus the dev team rocks!

BlueLight Safety is one of my favorite apps. Not only does it allow you to call for help with just one touch if you need it, but also allows you to alert emergency contacts that something is amiss. The On My Way feature allows you to let contacts know that you are traveling and when you arrive to your destination. No longer will mom be worried that you didn't make it home at night! I urge everyone to download this app. There's no better way to feel safe.

Bluelight Safety in my book is an absolute MUST HAVE if your like me and spend most of your time on the road or just out and about alot. You never can be to careful these days as they say, but having and knowing bluelight is by your side and installed on your phone, simply will and does keep you in the comfort zone everyday. So go ahead, install it. They'll always keep you safe and alert authorities as well as family for you in case of an emergency. Superb Job Bluelight Team and Thank You for all you do.

I got this app for emergency situations but I find that the sharing route feature is helpful all the time! When the weather is bad or I am out and about, I might share my route with my husband so he knows that I made it to my destination safely or so he knows where and I am so he can see approximately when I will be home. It saves me from having to remember to text when I arrive or let him know that I am close. Love it!

Exceedingly useful. Great for letting people know you are on your way when meeting up. Even if you don't feel you need the safety assurance it is useful for coordinating when no one ever arrives on time. Great job guys, keep it up!

I love the app and what it provides bot just for me but my girlfriend as well. The Trip function in particular is a great way for me or my girlfriend to let the other person know we arrived to our designated location safe and sound. Honestly takes away alot of the stress that comes from worrying. Thanks BlueLight!

This app is like a condom, because I am so safe. None of the nasty stuff gets me. I'm in like a bubble of condom protection with all of the sperm on the other side. I love this app. I will never get pregnant against my will. Thanks blue light from stopping me from getting blue waffle.

This app texted my contacts without me clicking the alert button. I had to contact them all and assure them I was okay. It is a great concept, but I can't trust it to be reliable.

Defective on Nexus 5X. Notifies emergency contacts via SMS but does not actually call emergency services. Tried this twice in two nerve-wracking emergency situations; didn't work either time. Frustrating. Disappointing. Even with its flaws, at least '911' actually works.
