Movies by Flixster, with Rotten Tomatoes

New update is terrible. Intrusive full page ads...which I could overlook if they hadn't messed up the interface and made it much harder to use. Worst of all, they seem to have taken away the feature I liked the most, which was the one that enabled you to add a title to your Netflix queue. Looks like I won't be using Flixster any more. Too bad.

You absolutely torpedoed your own app for no reason at all. The new interface is awful. It's way more difficult to navigate and makes it harder to find the movies you're looking for, especially the ones in theaters and new on DVD. Revert back to the old version. Until then I'm finding a new app.

New update is horrible. Not only is it more glitchy and doesn't update you're ratings and "want to see" page fast enough, but the very layout is now much more difficult to navigate and pointless. I mean why the hell would I want to scroll through a 1x1 thumbnail sized page to view my over 200 movie ratings? This update literally brought my rating down from 5 stars to 1 star. I find myself logging on much less lately, and honestly, I might find a better app for the job.

Used to love the app. As everyone else mentioned, the update is horrible. I used to find when movies were releasing to disc, but now it lumps everything with Netflix and Hulu together. Completely useless now. BRING THE OLD VERSION BACK!

The latest version is horrible. For some reason, I cannot mark my favorite theater as a favorite (Star Cinema in Missouri City Texas), and I have to search for it to see theater listings. I didn't have to do this with the previous version. Also, trailers now play in low resolution with black bars on the side, and the screen blacks off after a minute or so. They really screwed up a great app!

It doesn't work right anymore. It doesn't list all of the movies that an actor has been in. And it doesn't provide filmographies. It's really stupid and it's an easy bug fix that they could probably fix but they haven't therefore this app sucks. I always end up using the Rotten Tomatoes website before I use Flixster. This app has great potential but it fails miserably

Update again... now won't even boot. Hangs on a black screen. Way to ruin a decent app Fandango. Update +1 year... Still just as unstable. The least stable app I've ever installed. Crashes almost every time I use it. (Start old review) Very crash-y. Constantly fails to load movie data ("this movie not in database" message)

Wow, the new design is horrible! Why fix what isn't broken? Should have known you would mess it up once you became more interested in selling tickets through Fandango! By the way, most people only use Fandango to look when movies are playing. Otherwise just a way to charge another fee when you don't need to. Flixster now stinks and Fandango worse!

Frustrating. Used to be great, but since the last major update it no longer lists all the theaters near me and I have to manually search for the one in my town and two neighboring towns.

We loved this app until the recent update. Now we can't differentiate between movies that are out to rent and which ones are in theaters. It is also really hard to go through the movies that you want to see and recently all of the movies are doubling on the list. It's really disappointing because this used to be one of our favorite apps.

Horrible update! App is basically useless now. Only goes like 20 titles deep. Can't find how to search genre's. Now have to find something else!

When I first review this app it was 5 star not sure what's going on with this app it takes too long to open it has a black screen PLEASE fix this app very informative to watch trailers and find out movie info but every since the update is HORRIBLE I want to love this app again HELP

I have used this application for probablya decade. I have rated hundreds of movies where I use as a reference. Now I am completely unable to log into my account. The customer service contacts I have reached out to are completely unwilling to help me acquire access to my account.

Used to work, now it requires location services. It offers you the ability to input a zip code but no matter what zipcode I input it says no theaters found. Lame! Uninstall...

Latest Nov release has a terrible redesign. You can no longer login with your flixster account. So I lost all my ratings and watch lists. DO NOT UPDATE!!!! I wish I could go back. Now it's useless.. Update: Jan 2018 update still broken. Still worthless. Broken since November 2017, uninstalling.

Ever since an update maybe a month or two ago, my "want to see" and ratings have been totally screwed up. Before that, I loved it. Please fix this glitch.

The app is pretty much useless for looking up actors/directors and filmographies. Half the time, they don't even show up when you type them in.

This was one of my favorite apps. What did you do??? It's unusable and filled with info on nothing but b-movies (and worse).

I want my calander notification to come from my custom notifications folder. i don't like outlook notifications, and the only alternative is to change my global default note, and set outlook to that. Which means every time a get a text my phone plays an entire song. i am not willing compromise my alerts to wake me up in the morning, i need a long notification so i dont sleep through it.

Latest update completely ruined what was one of my most-used apps. Search is completely useless now, add to Netflix queue is gone, among other things. Time to find a new app.

The best part about this app was being able to see what is in theaters now and then being able to save those movies to my Netflix queue. As we all know, Netflix is God awful for searching for anything but Flixter was great since it had all the new movies (that people actually cared about) in one place. Now since they removed Netflix functionality I have almost no use for the app and if I do still use it out will be much slower since I'll have to search for movies on Flixter and then go to the Netflix DVD app to manually search again and finally save it to my queue. This is ridiculous. This update sucks. Bring back Netflix functionality (along with Amazon, Hulu, vudu, etc.) or you will see a drastic drop in users.

Mainly use app to track movies that I want to see. Scroll down on that page and click "Show more" and nothing happens. Today's update did nothing to fix that problem.

I've been using this app regularly for 4 years. I've loved it. Since the redesign it's worthless. Very frustrating .

oh joy they fixed Google signin????. All of my movie reviews and want-to-see are double-listed. Still a terrible app. Navigation is worse not better. Also removed Netflix integration.

Update stinks. Can no longer get past the Location Services screen. And before that, they deleted the widget. I wish Rotten Tomatoes would get their own stand-alone app.

Recent overall of this app now makes it very difficult to find the movies that I've marked as "want to watch" that might be showing in the theater. Can no longer filter them by type.

They change the feature to where I cannot tell when the movie comes out to Blu-ray DVD

Used flixster for years. It was a great app, I was able to view upcoming movies both in theatres, DVD, etc Now with the new update, it's all screwed up!

Just updated this app with the most recent update and I still can not sign in!! I have had this app for years, have over a thousand reviews and now I can't access any of it!! Either fix the login or I'm deleting the app for good!!!

Your app was great and now it's horrible. I now have to research everything on Google instead of coming up this app. Please change back!

Awful since the major overhaul. Doesn't sort movies by release date anymore.

New revamp of the app broke the "want to see it" and also you can no longer sort to upcoming, current and DVD for the want to see it.

It was a great app until recent changes made it extremely difficult to find dvds.

What have you done? You destroyed a good app with your terrible update! One star and uninstalled!!!

Can't login with a password I just created. My ratings don't save to my ratings list.

They fixed something that wasn't broken and broke it.

Please add TV shows like Rotten Tomatoes has.
