Forum Runner

Nothing spectacular or fancy. It let's you browse forums easily, but the site have to register to forum runner first. I think the business model is a bit backwards. Should be free to users, charge the site operators instead. That should get a bit more adoption.

Menu is gone to add forums to favorites, to make new threads, or to even make comments now. Can still get around it to make comments by responding to someone. Just going downhill fast.

Really liked this app, but after I got a new phone, all functionality ceased. I can't search, access profiles, start threads, or directly reply to them (I can quote another message and then erase it to reply, but that's ridiculous). Not sure what went wrong, but this app is a poor reader at this point.

This app is great but needs updated for new Android OS. One cannot do anything other than read threads. No reply or refresh feature etc. 5 stars up until now though.

Crashes, men's don't appear so can't save something as a favorite, useless. Easier to go to the web forum.

I love this app, but please come out with some updates. I can't access any menus on my phone, I can't refresh. Navigation is a pain in the ass, yet I can't bring myself to use anything else

When I first downloaded this app it was great for a simple way to browse my favorite forums, but now that I've upgraded my phone, it's useless. I can read but can't reply or save favorites forums because the bottom of the screen is completely cut off. Going back to using Chrome to access my forums.

Using on nexus 7 and htc one. But not using cos so crap.

Extremely disappointed. I paid money to use this app and have not been able to use it once. I continuously get an error message say that the server is too busy. Unacceptable.

I downloaded and paid for Forum Runner just so that I coukd have my most visited forum on the go. Searching the forums, creating new thread, and replies work well. Although the 2 most important features don't work worth a dang. Every time I go to add an attachment from my gallery, like a picture, the app crashes. Push notifications don't work either, even after the 2 weeks it took to validate my account. If you can find your forum in Tapatalk, definitely go with that. Forum Runner should be your last resort

I used to love this app - - but unfortunately development seems to have stalled out. This means that it gets buggier with every OS update. The bigger issue is when the forum software gets updated, Forum Runner refuses to work half the time. I've been advised to switch to Tapatalk from a couple of forums I regularly read where this has happened. I don't really care for Tapatalk, but if it at least works, I guess that's what I'll have to do.

This is a very misleading description. You cannot input the web address of the forum you want/need. I got this for ONE forum that I frequent, and it is not listed nor can it be searched properly. PLEASE REFUND ME IMMEDIATELY. And maybe consider a FREE DEMO.

This app is so pointless. If you want to post a thread, reply, or anything other than a private message, this app is not for you. If you wanted to have a app to have your different forums saved so you could visit them whenever you wanted, this app is not for you. If you wanted to pay 1.99 to look at posts you could view on the Internet for free, then download this app. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS AWFUL APP.

The menu at the bottom is cropped off so I can barely see the icons and there are a few other minor bugs. Also the app is far less efficient and customizable than Tapatalk. Too bad one of my forums dropped Tapatalk support and only supports Forum Runner.

No zoom/pan, crashes often when browsing photos! I frequently visit forum where lots of photos are posted and I'm p$##ed of forumrunner inability to deal with them. Not worth the money!

Utter rubbish, no way of adding forum to favourites and screen icons are only showing half above the bottom of the screen. and I paid for this piece of junk and can't get a refund.

Not at all what I was expecting I was hoping to be able to post on my forums heck even reply would be nice. I'm not at all pleased with this app or myself for not reading the reviews before blowing money on it going to uninstall from both phone and website

Had FR for while but changed my tablet and now I can't do anything. Well that's not true, I can respond if I quote a post. I can't create favorites or refresh, or even generate my own post. I guess galaxy 4 tab users are just SOL

Please note that this app is obsolete and NO LONGER SUPPORTED. This app, ever since Internet Brands took it over and ruined it (like they ruined vBulletin), had gotten progressively worse with each update. Opened everything slowly, if at all. Sad thing is, Tapatalk is even worse (a server admin's nightmare). IB only bought this to shut it down, in order to peddle their own overprice mobile add-on and kill off any competition. This shameful hack should be removed. Please report it to the Google Play store so that it can be removed.

My biggest complaint is that the icon bar at the bottom is cut off and not to mention the app hasn't been updated in over 2 years!

Only bought because my forum wouldn't stop kicking me to the upgrade. I prefer the full site.

Won't let you post in forums you're already a member of. Customer service is also no help. Their response "I am sorry the app is not working for you. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do for you at this time. If you want a refund for the app, I recommend contacting Google Play." Can't do that since it took them over a day to respond to my complaint.

Android 5 mostly does away with the menu button. Forum Runner no longer works. Can't add favorites for example.

Functionally it kinda works but you only get half of the menu icons along the bottom and there is no Android Menu button even though the app tells you to use it to create favorites. Very poor standard of build in this app.

Most avatars and images never load. Can't add reputation. Often flakes out. Signatures don't show, etc. I use it because competitors are far worse, but this app is not good at all. Oh the latest update removed the favorites button so I have to look up my forum every time! Awful!

This app repeatedly crashes on opening and when I do manage to run it it will not open any of the larger threads on the forum, giving an "unknown response" message from the server. It seems that there is nothing we can do about this despite being paying users, as their forum appears to be for forum admins and there are several such issues reported there that have been completely ignored. As a result this app is practically unusable, which is not good for what probably could be the main rival to Tapatalk.

The search function for forums doesn't work right. And when I tap on a forum (any forum) all that happens is an "unknown error" popup message appears and the app stays blank. Luckily I paid out of Google Rewards credits because this app just does not work.

Was good app at one time, but has been abandoned by the dev. Hasn't been updated in 2 years... Waste of time and money now.

Dude. It's the year Marty goes to the future and the GUI on this is what qualifies for a PAID app?!?! This should be a legit crime. User interface is so crappy it's pixilated on my S5 and Xperia z3. Seriously this app needs a 10 year overdue aesthetic update. Get real man...

The bottom icons eg search private messages are half cut off and cannot be seen please fix

Second party search engine. Stick to the internet it is free. Plus this app does not support IP boards. Wasted my time and money. How do I get a refund?

Tapatalk is a much more reliable and versatile forum plugin. Forum Runner crashes regularly, has image cache problems and hangs. Unfortunately there are few vialable alternatives.

There are some rendering glitches (extra lines are added before and after URLs, some tags do not work at all). Unfortunately forum links open the web browser. It also keeps losing most of the images (avatars, logos, etc) and needs to clear the image cache to fix it. Update: it seems that it's the most regretted app purchase I've made until now. Many complaints, no updates. Tags not working. I wish I could get a refund.

Allow zooming on photos, image display is generally terrible and needs completely rebuilding. Issue with links not opening page in Chrome, but browser opens okay. No idea why all links go through some third party site either. Post / reply screen is very basic. Browsing posts is okay, though.

App doesnt work cant get to the FJR forum please fix or send back my money

You get a list of forums that I haven't heard of. And most of them won't connect. . Very poor program. I WANT A REFUND

This app is worse than tabncrap2. Does not support any forums I subscribe to. We should get a refund no matter how lon we have had it.

Won't allow me to put my favorite forum in, and its not on the list, only reason I downloaded it... Any support for this?
