Kindle Widget

Just like so many others, it used to work and now it doesn't at all. Doesn't link up to kindle to find books, have installed and reinstalled kindle app plus the widget. Very disappointing. They should consider fixing it, and fire the new guy that broke it.

I only get a list of 5 books when I have 6 downloaded in Kindle. As for the pictures not being HD thats bc the app grabs the pic from the small thumbnail kindle stores on your device. You can manually add the HD photos by using your own photo you just change its name and location to replace the thumbnail image by going to "Android/data/kindleapp/" and copy the name of the file..rename your HD pick this name and put it in the folder in the non-HD photos place..then recreate the widget and itll be ur photo.

When placing the shortcut on the home screen, it gives you the option to add a book. Under 'List of books', nothing shows up even though the book is on my device.

I am so glad someone came up with this idea. Saves alot of time in sorting through my kindle application to get started reading. Works great.

None of my books I am able to pick from show up on my list of books. Wish you guys would fix this please!

Work perfectly until Kit Kat. Now the widget won't recognize any books on any of my devices. We have tried it across 7 different Android phones and tablets at this point. Don't waste your time downloading until the developer fixes it.

The widget is great at what it does. However when I attempt to resize the book, image quality is lossful and pixelated. If this were fixed I would give this app 4 stars.

Great idea, but doesn't recognize most of my kindle books. Frustrated. Uninstalled.

This was the best app for readers but it doesn't work anymore since the Kit Kat upgrade. Shame.

Only has two books from my collection available for selection. Luckily one of them is the book I'm reading now. The cover art worked however, I'd like to remove the text title from the smaller icon with artwork. Otherwise, exactly what I was looking for. Need my whole library to show up in widget for selection though!

This app would be great except it only gave me the option to choose from less than 10% of my books, which happened not to be the ones I wanted.

I bought a book and got this app but when I tapped "book short cut" it didn't give me a list of books. I JUST WANTD TO MAKE GETTING TO MY BOOKS EASIER!!!!!!

Icon sets up correctly but it just opens Kindle.

Where to begin...UI looks like it was made with Android froyo. Widget detected two titles (samples!) from my kindle acct and NOTHING else. Book cover appears microscopic and possibly corrupted. Tapping the widget just takes you to the kindle app! It's too bad Amazon can't make book widgets like Google does, so we wouldn't be forced to look to for crap widgets like these to fill the void. SMDH

Simply works for what I need it for. Wish cover art was a much higher resolution.

Widget doesn't work cuz when I try to install a widget, when you click BOOK SHORTCUT a box comes up that says LIST OF BOOKS but you can't click on it or anything. Uninstalling....Please fix, about a year ago I had this & I LOVED it.

I loved it. ..when it worked. I had to get a replacement phone bc my old one broke. I'm trying to make it exactly the same, but now this won't work. Both are note 3s. What's the deal? ? It won't show any of my books in the book shortcut list, and I have Uninstaller and installed both this and the amazon kindle app at least 3 times in different order

It only gives me a third of the books I have downloaded. How can I get the rest?? Would be 5 stars if all my books were available!

Always shows that I have no Internet connection then disappears.

Now that I see my book, it is more of a reminder. Bravo. Just what I was looking for.

Its really too bad, this used to be a great widget but it no longer works. I really wish they'd fix it.

Does not display any books from my Kindle library. App has not been updated since 2012. Amazon has since changed the path to the book library.

Since kit kat upgrade the book selection and book cover options no longer work on my phone :(. If you fix those, i otherwise Love this app!!!! Please fix :).

Recently upgraded from a Note 2 to a Note 4. The widget worked perfectly on my old phone, but won't recognize any of the books in my library on the new phone. Reading the other reviews, it looks like I'm not the only one. Fix it and it's a five star app for sure.

Only lists half my books - and i only have 30 in all. I wouldn't care about the lack of displayed covers IF it at least included all my library. Fix this and i'd be glad to pay for a properly working widget. I don't know why Kindle themselves haven't come up with a way of displaying our individual books??

It does what it says; linked books straight to desktop, size is adjustable, loads cover, hops very fast to the book i want to read. so All seems good. Except, it wont let me choose whatever book I want, only about 6 is showing out of my whole library - and not exactly the ones I have downloaded to this device. I could not figure out a way to get rest of the books showing.

It only gives me one option for books to link to, but it doesn't matter since it brings me to whatever I had open last. Or if it was closed, to the home screen.

Works again with Lollipop! 5 stars for doing what it says, and for being free. Thanks. It would be nice to be able to add shortcuts to folders (although that might not work with the resizeability options?). How about a mosaic widget for recent books? I'd cheerfully pay for that.

Pros: Book widget thumbnail works well! Cons: Only shows 3 of my 10 titles. When I do click on the widget it only opens the Kindle app rather than the book. Outdated android UI on the widget options page. Has potential, needs issues ironing out first
