PSViewer for Google Cardboard for Android
I cant manage to open any of my own files on my galaxy s6. The downloads work, but i cant find them on my device storage. I created pairs of square 3000px images named 'PANO_l.jpg' and 'PANO_r.jpg' in the same directory. Nothing shows up. I also tried non stereo with 6000x3000px and still nothing shows up. I tried adding xmp metadata myself but also not recognised. Could you please provide more detailed instructions how to use the 'load photospheres' feature? Maybe a tutorial if you have some spare time? It doesn't help that the file navigator only shows folders, not files. Thank you
For some reason the app only works for a few of the images I took. It says it will accept any jpg where the width is twice the height in the tutorial, but I tried resizing the problem images such that this was true and they still didn't show up when I clicked load photospheres and went to the folder they were placed in.
Does a pretty good job. I was looking for a way to view photos I took with my LG 360 camera with Google cardboard. This fills the bill nicely.
This is the best app till date, which is convenient as well as quick in whatever it claims I would like to know if we can attach audio or text at gaze pointer in the 360 image
Vastly better experience than viewing through the 'Cardboard' app. My own photospheres look much better now! . All round a well thought out app and I recommend people to try it.
I placed image_L.jpg and image_R.jpg (which are 2048 x 1024) under same drectory but it only lists image_L.jpg and not R :( So it loads _L image for both eyes. Please help!
How can i see myown photo spheres
Looks amazing
I decided to get a vr cardboard viewer without that magnet as i was concerned about it damaging phone . So this is just what i needed, you can select your photospheres by head movements which is the way vr should be. Kudos to the developer. Its ace. Also im not sure but it seems to make the quality of my pics better.
I tried it with my headset and ir did not work
...
Thumbsup
The viewer works very well, but I'm viewing a room with a lot of plain walls and the compression the app puts on the file makes them look heavily compressed. Almost like if you put a jpg 5 compression on in Photoshop. Not really sure if I am going to be show the client as it is very distracting. Could there be an option to select the compression ourselves?
It works....late last night I found an article that said to unmount the SD card, some sort of memory leak issue. So I did. Also the developer of the app contacted me right away with the same advice. So we are all good. Now to put this thing through its paces; going to rate this 3 stars for now.
This app is just what I've been looking for to easily view photospheres as a slide show. The gallery option to group photos is also perfect for what I wanted. The problem is that the gallery management is frustrating: Import is slow; No multiple import; Not clear why whole file is compressed rather than just importing the file name/path; Forced to rename file instead of defaulting to source file name; No thumbnails of files to import; Can't move files to another gallery after import. Hoping for improvements
Why it is necessary to import photosphere image on mobile into gallary ? After importing to gallary, "compression" message is displayed . what is it? Is it not possible that the app will read the photosphere images on mobile directly without adding to gallary similar to google cardboard app from google.
I like the concept of the galleries to group the spheres, but why not make galleries bubbles as well. Loading my own ps into galleries is way too time consuming ( i take a lot of them ) needs the ability to bulk load, also maybe use the file name by default as the name.
Stayed in a loop first time opening and re-opening to the tos screen.. Crashed the phone and said os was up dating when rebooting. Not good guys.
Fine
This app is great! That being said, I would really love to see you incorporate the option to switch from focus based input to magnet based.
Menu system is frustrating and confusing
Edit: fading gallery default setting seems to be the issue. Switching to spheres i could float and choose all. Fading only ever went through 2. Original comment: Love concept but Sphere gallery not opening. It starts on graffiti and will go to crypt but then back to menu. No amount of downloading or removing and adding galleries helps. Note 4
Uploading increases size of app data. The app should read photospheres from the original place/folder on the mobile device.
This app was just what I was looking for! Google's photosphere viewer's interface is severely lacking and this is where PS Viewer shines. You can move to next and previous without the use of the magnetic switch! Some feedback: * The tower gallery is a great feature! Maybe a traditional grid of 2D rectangle snapshots of the spheres would work too? * I would love to make several virtual galleries. For example: downloaded spheres, my best spheres, experimental stuff... * Seems to be not so smooth as the viewer in the Cardboard app. I would trade image quality for smooth panning if I had to choose. * please remove the full fish-eyed of the image view during loading - this spoils the fun to see the image part by part and figuring out "where" I am! * I cannot see the reason to remove the tilt control when viewing the Tower gallery! I'd like to pick the starting sphere from the Tower gallery and then move to the next one with a head tilt OR return to the Tower gallery via the Menu-button. * the menu items could react faster when I select items by looking at them. Maybe let the user select this, as with the tilt sensitivity? Great app, I would definitely pay for this!
Best on the Play Store, but needs update for distortion, and ability to open photosphere from another app (share).
The app doesn't compensate for the distortion introduced by the lenses
Too many ideas, poor execution. I wish someone would just make a bear-bones gallery for viewing photospheres. As simple as the cardboard viewer is, but with the ability to select from a gallery instead of viewing in a linear fashion. This app has a couple good ideas, but focuses on whimsy, with strange floating spheres in darkly lit environments. No support for the newer viewer with universal button either. Focus in clean UI and an easy to use interface first.
Thanks for the effort to make a nice 3D viewer. One important thing that isn't implemented here is the lens distortion correction i.e. it needs to apply barrel distortion to the rendered image (to undo the lens' pincushion distortion). I can certainly see the effect of uncorrected distortion especially when moving head up/down. This doesn't happen in the official cardboard app where the distortion has been corrected.
The best viewer I've found. One downside. Images now tilt uncontrollably. Not sure if my magnet is messed up now. Can't seem to fix.
This app is great! That being said, I would really love to see you incorporate the option to switch from focus based input to magnet based.
Great development
It didn't detect any images.
no bull

Developer,, I like how one can view just about any sphere they wish but I do notice a large amount of distortion when compared to the photosphere demo available on the Google cardboard app.. Is there any way for you to adjust it so it's not as weird when my head turns?
This is a fantastic app for vr photos I really like the settings menu some photos look better adjusting the zoom or brightness this is the best vr viewer available
The google cardboard app hasn't worked on my phone since its last update so I had to find another app to view photosphere photos. In my opinion this is even better than the google bundled app. Well done developer!
Good Luck Chris

Amazing app for showing 3D spherical architectural renderings. Only issue for me is that it should accept slightly higher resolution spheres like some other apps do, and I tend to get a bit of drift. However still the best app I've found out there so 5 stars.
