Daylio - Diary, Journal, Mood Tracker for Android
I've been using it since May 2016, and still use it every day. t's absolutely perfect for me. I love comparing my days and seeing what I've done and what I can improve on. I loved it so much I bought the ad-free upgrade...and I didn't even have ads! The mood customisation update made it even better. EDIT: Actually, I have one complaint (although it's pretty minor). Can you please revert the logo to the original one? The green was calming, but the purple is incredibly jarring.
Just the best mood and activity tracker I can imagine. I have used this to track the mood of my fiance with her new bipolar medication. We have been able to see whether 4 or 5 key inputs have affected her mood and tiredness. It's a truly user friendly, initiative and useful app for anyone with a need to track and quantify daily experiences
Great, love tracking emotions on it. Especially love the stats that visually compare the data. The days in a row thing also keeps me motivated to continue. I really love the app a lot and couldn't recommend it more. This app helped me with a lot of things, from writing down page-long rants to viewing my mood patterns Edit: omg the new update is literally the best thing ever I love the multiple moods feature
I have finally found the perfect diary/mood tracker app for me. I have tried these forever and never been able to follow through. A few easy taps in this adorable interface and I can help record what matter without agonizing over how i should write/describe something. One of the few apps I've paid premium for. Thank you!!!!!!
Amazing, truly amazing. This easy-to-use short diary app is the only one that I've stayed consistent with. I'm now able to see my mood changes very easily. The new update is also really cool because I get to add different moods!!! So happy I came across this app.
I've been using this app for about six months and it's super useful for tracking my anxiety and health. The customization of the latest update is great! The only negative is that I really really dislike the new logo. Because of this app I associate the purple face with a negative mood so having the logo be this color is somewhat unsettling. If this could be made green again, that would be wonderful!
Love it. Ive always wanted to keep track of my moods and activities, since Im on a few medications. I just always found a diary time consuming and long winded. This makes everything super simple, turning your days activities and moods in a simple, point form style. You may have to take some time creating activities for yourself, but its well worth it.
This is actually pretty neat. I love the ui. Its helped me keep a regular check-in without the hassle and stress of a journal. And because of the layout and look, it's almost fun. I just wish we could color code activities kind of like the moods. And it'd be great if down the line you guys could setup a server for syncing across devices. But in all, I love it!
Simple, just what i needed. I dont wana write essays, just have a way to track moods and look for patterns. I only add short statements of the day, basic info on what I've been doing and how my day was. then i can look back, is there a trigger or a pattern to the moods? Perfect simple snapshot.
LOVE THIS APP. I use it to keep track of my mood patterns for my mental health, learning which actions are influencing my mood through the journal, and expressing my feelings through writing. I have two issues with the lastest update. Others here have mentioned that the change of the icon from the green happy face to the purple one was not a changed they like, me included. I liked the green better and I associate the purple one with the "meh" mood. My other issue is that you can no longer flip through the monthly line graph to compare this month to the last few months. (It's shown on one of your displayed app screenshots) this feature is important to me because I need to know what states I've been in over time, when my mood crashed, when I'm too manic. I use this to compare month to month differences. I use this information about my mood swings that i can offer to my doctor. Please think of bringing back that feature.
Have used this app for months, it's excellent for tracking your mood over time! Since the update you can now have more than the 5 standard moods and can change the faces, which was the only thing this app was missing! 5 stars, this is exactly what I needed.
I always had hoped for mood optimizations but not really needed them, and now with the newest update you just delivered them. 6/5 stars
Over the past year ive been diagnosed with depression anxiety and OCD. THIS APP HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST HELP TO ALL THREE. When theapy has fallen through i can keep a good track of how im doing in a clear understandable way, and when at therapy if i dont know how to answer i can flick through and quickly tell how ive been. The security of the app makes you feel safe and with the new function to have customisable moods and not just activities means you can directly apply things otherwise not considered, such as a flashback or dysphoria. Regardless of mental health this app is also good in general as a diary. Friends who have been having a rough time i suggested get it and they find it really helpful. Those in general who want a diary will find this does everything theyd like and can help in a pinch.
I like that I can tailor the icons. I am using it to track arthritis and crohnes disease symptoms. I have an icon for each symptom and in the comment I just rate the intensity, and then save. Very easy.
It's great as a virtual journal (though I still enjoy writing, so I have an old-school, college-ruled, colorfully covered journal as well). I can keep track of my pregnancy symptoms then look back and see how bad I felt in my 1st trimester when I was (am) puking my guts out. And it's not overly pushy. It doesn't force you to use it when you're doing something else on your phone. Anyway, great app! Definitely recommend!
Very helpful! I especially like the fact that you can set a time where it reminds you daily to plug in how you feel. The layout of the app is also organized and aethetically pleasing enough. Good job to the creators!
If you could save an image or take a pic, and save it with a memory... It would be perfect. I give it 5 stars anyway because its the only journal that has actually had me enter quick thoughts of the day easily and consistently
i love the simplicity and humor, the ability to add multiple entries per day (handy for those with rapid mood cycles, BPD, EUPD, or amygdala disorders), and even the ToS made me laugh, which was much needed. if you need a mood diary, THIS IS THE ONE. no joke, i think i had used it a grand total of three minutes before i bought the premium upgrade - it's worth it, this app is awesome (and the devs totally deserve that beer)!
This app is great. Helps to assess and evaluate your baseline moods. See where you went wrong and look for patterns to help change your bad habits.
I really love the app but I really don't like (close to hate) the new colour on the logo, the purple face isn't pleasant on screen, the green was much much nicer Thx ☺️
It is brilliant! At first u will think it's hard to do it every day but in time u will get used to writing everyday
Well designed, very clean interface, should be very familiar and intuitive for Android users. Features are good. Customizing your moods and activities is a must. A more granular mood selection would be nice - choosing a face and then choosing one of several descriptions for it would be a simple additional step that could add a lot of value, especially if those descriptions were customizable. Charts and stats are very handy, and very clear. It's really refreshing to see technology being used to help people learn more about what makes them happy :)
This is just what I needed. It's easier to manage mood swings when I can see a pattern in activities and foods ( using my fitness pal).
I would give it 5 stars but I use this app since September and I don't know why I lost everything I had, all the days. I'm forced to start again.
Simple. Easy to use. You can see your moods and go back and figure out why you were having a good day or a bad day.
I love this app alot. It's great to be able to track my activities and feelings generally. The new update is great too with the ability to create custom moods. I'm looking forward to seeing the information from the entries presented back to me in informative ways.
The latest update has customizable moods, which was the only real complaint I had before. Can finally give it the 5 stars it deserves! It's super easy to use, making it much more practical for mood tracking than other things like bullet-journaling.
Best mood tracker app. It gives a lot of statistics based on our mood. It's really helpful to find out what makes you unhappy and avoid them from life. Love it.
Your app is great, but missing a great feature. Please add a feature, like i want to sort that which day and time, i did exercise, and which day i read. Also i want to sort them emotion wise. It will help me and your other customers to get a record of their activities, which is a major part of any journal / diary. Hoping to see this feature in another update. Regards Muhammad Nauman
Wonderful app. My emotions are whack n I needed something to track my episodes. Works very well.
I use it every day, but it is quite easy to use to get a snapshot of changing moods. You can set reminders at determined times and then go through two steps: 1) choose your mood, which can be something you added, and 2) write a description. And that's it!
I love the new update already. I always thought this app was very good, but the addition of customizable moods really helps. The interface is perfect for me, and I love all the options to look at data. (The graph, stats by both mood and activity, stats by weekday; they're all very helpful.) Happily paid for the upgraded version. :)
This is really great for me to keep a quick diary and keep track of my mood which as someone with anxiety and depression I have found to be very useful. In addition I love how editable the moods and activities are.
Absolutely love this app, it's been a very helpful app through depression and therapy, enabled me and my therapist to see how's it been going and what I've been doing. Highly recommended
Its a great app and it reminds me everyday to ask how was my day. I absolutely love ittt it helps me manage my anger ❤
I have to pare down my entire day into just ONE emoji? There should be several time points during each day, or infinite number of times, so I can track how things change as the day progresses.
It's so useful to keep track of my days! There is so many days u gotta jot down on a journal, but u can just click, click and done!!AWESOME for a person like me that always writes in her journal plus I like to keep memory and track of my fav days!!
Great app, just what I need. The lazy man's journal
One of the most useful apps I have installed. Absolutely a breeze to add entries. Multiple entries per day along with activities in case you don't have time to even type out what you did in a day. And it's password protected!

With the newest addition of custom moods, Daylio is by far the best mood tracker. It's easy and fast to use, inexpensive, yet packed with features. I suffer from a mental illness which makes this kind of 10-second diary indispensable to me. I've used it for a year, and haven't missed a day. I can correlate activities with moods and vice versa, make notes for each day, and much more. I dare say it has changed my life, even if only a little bit.
