This is my favorite weather app and definitely worth paying for. I've been using it for years via the mobile website and switched to the app when it came out and they took the forecasts off the site. I like the UI and the hyper local rain predictions the most. The custom alerts feature could be great but it only lets you set up an alert for a single data point. I would love to be able to say alert me when the temperature is between 50-90 degrees, humidity is less than 90%, and there is no rain to help me decide if I should bike to work.

The system has a hard time tracking my location it will lock into my home, I will have to go to setting and reset my location to get the readings for where I'm at. .. It would or should be able to check locations in other areas to know what I'm heading into as well but can't this is not good which is why I did not give a 5 star rating fix that and I will change the rating.

So far very impressed with how the interface is laid out and very easy to use. The only thing that I find pretty annoying is the reliance on the GPS when you first open the app. Other than that , great app and fair pricing for the annual subscription. [ update ] thanks for the GPS update, awesome !

Good app, very accurate. Only complaint would be the widgets. They are all 3x2, but seem like they should be 3x1 for the amount of space they use. Also would be nice if the fonts and weather icons used a lighter weight to match the font of things like the aosp digital clock.

DarkSky is my go-to app, and I've been a loyal subscriber of Premium for a while. Always the most accurate and reliable hyper local weather. Please add Android Wear 2.0 complications. Please!

Besides the fact that it seems to not allow manual refreshing so the temperature lags a bit - if they fixed that the app would be perfect. Auto refresh when I click the persistent notification or drag down on the temp screen to refresh. Then it'll be perfect.

by Y####:

I can't find a way to correct my address. The range it shows for my street is incorrect, and it doesn't save it when I type it in myself. The next time I open it, the address is incorrect again. I cancelled the paid part of the app. It won't send me any daily updates because it can't find my location! C'mon...I'm near Dallas!!

by Y####:

The design is there, the back end is not. Rain forecasts are terrible, as is the map. It's pretty to look at...but it's also pretty worthless

M70%
by M####:

Used this for a week on vacation and it didn't predict much of anything I couldn't have predicted myself by looking at the sky and guessing. It went 0 for about 12 with rain alerts. Not worth the subscription.

by Y####:

The website has more detailed information than the paid application. Weather mapping is even better. The only thing that could be improved upon is the R.A.D.A.R. mapping. Road, city and county demarcations need to be provided along with better zooming capabilities.

This is the worst weather app I have tried. Despite being a beautiful and fast app with a good looking persistent notification, Dark Sky is consistently inaccurate to an alarming degree. It tells me it's sunny during thunderstorms, it warns me about heavy rain when it's dry. In winter it often says light snow when the snow is so heavy I can't see across the street. I really want to like this app, and I've tried it again and again over the last year or so, but the sheer amount of misinformation it claims makes Dark Sky unusable.

It's great, I check it every time before leaving the house, or if going to shop. I check before heading home so not getting my goods wet up. I check to make sure it's not going be too windy if I need an umbrella for example. Or the UV level so I know to wear my sunglasses.

Works Fantastic.. I own a lawn service and daily this helps me figure out if I have enough time to finish.. Really nice app.....thanks...

N70%
by N####:

Most accurate weather but the app's features are minimalistic and could do with a more intuitive UI. It's also very buggy compared to most weather apps that use the same API...this one constantly fails to retrieve the forecast and update the notification bar. Definitely not worth paying for.

Y70%
by Y####:

I would like it a lot more it there was just more to it, more visual. The weather channel app I believe is better because it gives a better description of day and night. This app just says an inch of snow in the next hour. I will say the map is very nice thou.

Used this over a few days of inclement weather. Found predictions accurate. Avoided a few soaking while out with the dog.

Y70%

Easy to look at, has all the info I look at most (here's looking at you, humidity), and insanely accurate. Also love the feature that delivers me a forecast for the day at time I choose.

I was Mycast weather user but seams they no longer have support their product so decided to use another weather app storm weather channel etc. Dark Sky beat them all its best weather app so far!Wonder why they have ranking number 3.8 ?They deserve 4.5 at least.hope this review is helpful.

Just terrible in and around the Las Vegas NV area. Always 6 or so degrees off and NEVER on point when predicting rain or wind...
