Roger Phillips Mushrooms Lite for Android
Books are brilliant...this app is a waste of time!
The thing that is killing me are the promised updates that never came. It would make this app so much more useful.
Awful. Great way to help you poison yourself.
Hopeless -hen of wood, chicken of wood all cannot find.
Not finished.
I tried MULTIPLE searches, and didn't have a single success. I described at least a dozen common mushrooms, that I later found by browsing for them, so I know they are in the database. I also entered several common names. Neither was successful. The only positive I have is the descriptions and pictures are well done. That's the only reason it did not get one star.
Have the book which is excellent. But the app is awful. Will assume paid for app is exactly the same as free app. Why when Fungitron can get it spot on you cannot ???? Have bought subscription to them purely due to their search options. I look forward to re reading a reply to this.
This is the best mushroom identifier app ever!
Excellent app! Will use this often
Great field for mushrooms!
I'm in scouts and I use it for hiking and other things, Plus it is Specific, Thankyou for taking the time to read this.
Don't even thinkb of using this app as you sole guide to finding edible wild mushrooms. Get books instead, several of them or better yet several books and time spent with a knowledgeable guide.
Just to enlighten, a photo identification feature would be inaccurate and dangerous considering that some species look almost identical to each other.
Had to force close in the first 30 seconds.
crashed within a couple of minutes of opening. uninstall...
plane stupid
A total disappointment. I own eight of Roger Phillips' books and I was expecting that level of quality and detail. There are very few mushrooms included, just one species of Boletus, one Lactarius, and three Amanitas. It looks like less that 50 mushrooms total. And it crashed the second time I used it. After trying this program, I'm convinced I don't want to buy the full version.
Somebody should make an app where you can take a picture of any mushroom on your phone and the app will identify it for you to make things easier/fast
There are over 180 species of mushrooms which contain the psychedelics psilocybin or psilocin. The paid version of this app only shows 6 of them, the free version only shows 3 of them. I would have uninstalled and gotten a refund but it was over the 15 minute limit. I will change my rating if more species are added.
Does not contain many of the common choice edible mushrooms of the US. Crashed on first search. Clunky user interface.
I agree Joshua, I live on a narrow boat cruising the canals of Britain, see lots of fungi on my way. Love this app but does need photo identification
Limited number of species not even any common ones
Free is ok, but the full version is brilliant!
But also not good enough
Great. Can recommend Fungitron, w/ more free shrooms and a variety of filters!
Free app works fine but full app just freezes on a samsung s2. Contacted developer but no response yet.
They need to study what mushrooms they put in this app wrong info and there selection is horrible not that useful
Good
Never can id shroom because this app is so bad
Useless worthless and a waste to download..do a Google search to find REAL mushroom info. FAIL!
I'd definitely buy the full version but for some reason I can't see any of the text, only the image. :( Using Archos 43it
Way to small of a library. Good idea thow.
Not a very good selection of mushrooms
Looking forward to the full version
This is an awesome app. I have used it and it works. Helped me find some chanterells.
This is super sweet, I cant wait til the full version is released!

Not very useful at all. No ability to search by shape renders much of it useless. Colour alone is too subjective. I'll stick to carrying a book
