This is the best identification guide on android, plain in simple. It has the most amount of species and the most amount of pictures, most species have multiple pictures, very helpful for identification ! Very quick to use and simple interface. Great APP The one BAD THING is, most, if not all the pics are pretty low resolution... If the developer could somehow fix this problem it would make this app even more great. However the shear volume of pics here still makes it the best mushroom identification app on android and Ive tried them all. Please make the pictures a higher quality... please

The images in this can be enlarged but in my version they first appear as such tiny thumbnails that it is almost impossible to tell if it looks like what you are looking for. The result is that I end up having to enlarge dozens of photos trying to find what I am looking for. Also every time I do enlarge an image I get a message telling me of an easier way to enlarge which simply does not work. On the plus side there are at least many many fungi though perhaps chosen more for America.

. My lord, one can't even select gills or bolete for the mushroom finder. So the search stinks, but the pictures are even worse -- small, no zoom, lo res, and can't swipe to the next one.. Lots of mushrooms in the database but you need to know the Latin name to find it. Text is so small, won't enlarge. I would love my $4 back

Doesn't allow searches of synonyms I can't get it to work often

Excellent range of fungi. Best content of all the fung ID guides I have tried.

This is an awesome compliment to my field guides. It's true that the images a bit low quality, but they're good enough to give you an idea of what you have, plus a link to the Wikipedia page is nice.

Great to have an app on the phone. Roger is a good source for identifying mushrooms in the field. No substitute for a field guide (yet). Needs more tolerance in matches (using known species i have to sometimes "tinker" with the characteristics in order to get correct ID). Perhaps a "see also" list? Biggest complaint: edible should be its own heading and not be buried in the description.

I've found the app v. useful as a way to check details on mushrooms in the field. It would be useful for the user to be able to write personal notes on each species entry as additional info where info is lacking and a place to note relavent links. The synonym search function can be frustrating; frequently latin synonyms aren't all included so I come to a dead end. It might be useful to be able get results when searching for a mushroom which you only know the species name but not genus. Great app, thanks!

It really needs a zoom function, the text is only just readable with my glasses on.

Well-constructed database w/ good searching options, but photos r horrible resolution. Zoom option makes blurry pics blurrier. Update & I'd give 5*'s

Works OK on my Motorola Defy but the text is nothing like the sample left hand screen image, it is actually far too small to read. Anyone know how to enlarge the text?

Have used the free version - outstanding. Payed some money for the full version and it's crashed since downloading. Come on, let's get a fix out for the GS2 please! No reply to email or feedback report - could be better comms, me thinks.

Extremely disappointed with the app (which does not work) and with the developers (which ignore emails). The app starts fine on Nexus S ICS, but the database download (part of the initial setup) always fails. Therefore the app is completely useless. I emailed the developer about it and never got an answer. BTW downloading the database separately from the link provided in the app description also does not fix the issue as this requires you to first be able to complete the installation of the app.

U70%

Low res, poor quality images are of little use. I know hires pics take up more download size but there are many apps with much larger download size. The search menu doesnt seem to include all the mushrooms. The layout of descriptions looks like no thought has gone into them with just free flowing text and no separation of the identification info. Breaking the text up with headings would be easier on the eyes.

Following the current update this app now works fine. It allows you to view hundreds of different fungi by all sorts of handy criteria. The only downer on this otherwise superb app is that the text size is smaller than I'd like, even on my great big Galaxy Note. If there's a way to increase the text size, I haven't found it yet. But, this being said, I am now very pleased with this app and would recommend it to anyone interested in mycology.

It finally works on S2. And it looks pretty good - handy for helping to confirm id and names in the field. Higher res images would be good. Recommended.

This is a super little app in the iOS version but for Android we get this inferior interface with low resolution images, which are pretty much useless for identification purposes...
