Car Mode Control

used to work. now it doesn't.

Are you using it correctly pondroid? Once you exit your car home app you need to hit the car mode control again to actually exit from car mode. Otherwise your home button will continue to open your car home app. Works great! Just what I was looking for on my Rzr.

After trying to figure out how to trick my Razr into car home mode, I started searching. Works fine but I almost gave up on it. It wouldn't work until I powered off and back on.

The only reason I wanted this app, was to have it pause the music during an incoming call while driving. This happens when in an actual dock. This app does not simulate that effect.

If I enter car mode using the drive widget and then get a phone call, I can't get back to the car mode home. This solves that problem.

Now that I've upgraded to ics, all it does is launch vznavigator. Was perfect solution on gingerbread, so will keep app and hope for update. Excellent app on gingerbread

Just goes back to home screen when app is launched

Maybe it works for old/outdated phones, but all it does for Note 4 is make the phone flicker a bit.

Runing this on a Razr max running ICS v 4.0.4 and it doesn't work any longer like it did in GB 2.3.6

I used this with the google car home app on my Sensation 4G. Now I use it with the GS2 car dock. Great app!

The steering wheel icon comes up, but nothing else happens. LG G3.

To exit car mode, press menu>exit>apps>car mode. Recommend an upgrade that will complete this action by just menu>exit. Also, recommend an option to setup Navigation button to open VZ Navigator..These upgrades would increase my rating.

This app just flashes car dock mode for half a second, and then goes back to the normal home screen. I guess I'll stick to using a magnet. Droid x2

The launcher only toggles the home button for l aunching the Motorola car home app.

Thanks developers for your hard work, app works great except that it will not show favorites from the "Calling" screen. Fix it and it will be a 5 star.

Didn't make any change to my phone

Cycles to car mode and back to screen. Car mode won't stay on. Running 2.3. Car mode toggle is apparently not included with Gingerbread. ????

Dev. is definitely one of the best in terms of keeping apps simple yet completely functional and customizable. They are also extremely generous for giving us their hard work for free. You sir, have earned more than a dollar.

The car mode itself works great, but the app reappears even after being killing in the task manager. This is on a Motorola Atrix.

Worked as advertised on Motorola Atrix. Regarding negative about the changing of the home key functionality: this is how it is supposed to work. That way you can run more than one program at a time. If you want to restore standard (non car) functionality, just press the Car Mode icon again following exit.

I have the motorola car mount for my bionic but it stopped launching car mode. This is a perfect solution for the problem or for non motorola car mounts! You have to remember to toggle the app off or else hitting the home button will only take you to car home.

A very much needed app for my droid razr maxx. I use an otterbox and it simply won't fit in the car dock with the case. I got a generic mount and have smart actions launch it when it connects to my cars Bluetooth then launch again when it disconnects. :) car dock heaven baby

Took me a few times to realize it _toggles_ car dock mode & that I needed to click the icon again to make the home button go back to normal. Does what it's supposed to. Thanks dev!

Great Simple App A great simple app that makes it easy to test/setup your car mode comfortably sitting in your favorite chair, rather than distracting you from your driving. Not really a necessity, but really handy to have.

Doesn't give speaker phone on Droid X2 either ..... everything else is great !!! Looking for this exact thing . Thanks

There's no help that I could find, so what you need to know is that you tap this once to enter car mode and tap it again to go back to normal. As far as I can tell there is no way to know what mode your phone is in except to hit the home key and see what happens.

For some reason, I have to run this app multiple times for the switch to car mode to stick. Otherwise, good app!

Though I would like to be able to change the navigation button from the online based google maps to link to my offline sygic gps as I travel often where there is no cellular service.

I made my own car mount, has suede holster for phone, and it looks much better than plastic crap from Motorola. Only missing thing was this, couldn't be happier with application. Great work!

Now I can launch the car dock mode with any car mount and not have to buy the $40 motorola one.

This app is a great idea, however, only three stars because it has the same flaw as another app called "Bionic Dock": if you place the phone into any physical dock (Lapdock, HD, Car dock) and then pull it out and try to use Car Mode Control, the screen tries to rotate and then goes back to the regular interface. Solve this and I'd give 5 stars and send you $. I also discovered that Car Mode Control is a toggle - you have to press again to leave car mode and get back to proper operation of the home key.

When I want to turn it on it brings up s voice does not display the driving mode at all had to uninstall

This app made google car home accessible.again on my phone running a custom gingerbread ROM. Thanks.

Droid Razr Maxx. It sometimes doesn't work. I have to reboot my phone to make it work again.

Have used before on older htc's and worked flawlessly but doesn't work on HTC one.

The app has absolutely no similarity to the screenshots or description. All it does is Google search a command to open an app. Uninstalling now.

This is exactly what I have been looking for and thank you for no add ons or other bogus stuff.

Whenever I open the app it goes straight to VZ Navigator (which I don't want to use and prefer Google Navigation. Thank you
