Budgerigar Trial for Android
Great potential. A lot of room is used up by a HUGE navigation system. Copy/"insert" doesn't do anything (at least not for drums). Needs zooming...
Great for planning out song ideas on the go
Easy to navigate, would like to loop a selectable amount of patterns . . .TO PASTE, copy and drag, nice and easy!!!!!
Stupendous! LOVE the simple, clean, efficient interface! It's the MIDI sequencer I was searching for! Now I can catch the music in my head anywhere.
How can I edit the time signature
I love to be able to have a piece of music in my head and lay it out wherever I am.... over 125 instruments and effects... drums, bass, guitars. 5*
This is currently the nearest thing youre going to get to a 'normal' (i.e. not weird/psychadelic.more like cubase) sequencer on android.great effort!!
How do I change tempo
Fun app!
Didn't expect a MIDI composer for my phone. Interface works well once you get the hang. Help could do with some words. Going paid-for now!
Spot on
Keyboard-type interface would be appreciated. Kinda sucks that the demo doesn't let you export midi files. Ah well. I find the rest pretty awesome.
Difficult to use. Nothing works in demo to allow you to figure it out. Help menu worthless
Even the simple things are not covered. Where's bpm/speed? Why do you create a note on top every time I press an existing one? Velocity? MIDI CC? Plug in support?
Nice app, wish it had MIDI import though.
Nice job! -Add a "play 3" mode that loops (useful when seq your drums) -Not sure how to "paste" a bar that was copied -examine implementing triplets
I'm still playing around with this trial to see how well it'll work for me, but I am thoroughly impressed. Full set of standard midi instruments, time codes, accurate audio timing, fairly easy to use even though it's on a touchscreen... I'm actually able to lay out tracks while I'm at work that, if I get the full version, I can export and drop straight into a full editor and use vst synths for better electronic sounds. I'm really tempted to pay for the full version, even though I usually don't go for paid.
Does this have a touch piano to record live midi or is it just for pasting 1note at a time
Really, this is very good. Knock out a tune wherever then bang it in your DAW when you get home!
Good effort. Takes some time to figure it out. Would be great to hear notes under the finger in composition mode to help find the right note.
the interface seems designed for infants but that's ok...
Cant preview notes or drum sounds until after you write them.
Best midi sequencer ever! Thanks so much!
No midi import, means it is usless for me. I won't invest time in a product without portability.
Thank you! Been looking for an app like this. Works great on my HTC aria. Wish the drum sounds were without reverb (or is that the native phone snds?)
Need to allow better jumping thru the track or at least setting a new starting bar so when u click play, the song will resume from there.
Every time I make something satisfying my ears... there's a saving error message. I'm not that kind of silly paranoid, but it seems+craignos ++
Finally - a real composing app. Seemed non-intuitive at first, once learned it became easy and useful. Very precise editing even on small screen.
Only reason it's 4 stars is I can't test export midi and no midi import, but what I do see is the EXACT reason I got a droid, and the ONLY multi track
Great app. Would be perfect with a nicer interface and more export options (mp3 would be nice)
I can see this being useful, but it is easily the ugliest interface I've seen since Cakewalk vs.1! Makes me want to puke.
Given that this is a free app, this is incredible and has a nice amount of features and functionality. I would recommend this to composers on the go.
This would be wonderful, but for the fact it does not import MIDIs, it only exports. And that's not a 'trial' limitation, the pay version doesn't import either. So really, its usefulness as a composing or editing app is very limited. If this gaping whole in its functionality was fixed this would be great. A straight-forward, no-frills MIDI editor. But until then... not much use. Such a pity.
As for a pocket device, of course. With at least one level of undo, would be even more stars. ;)
