10/26/17 Update: Completely absurd that this app only allows one email account! Reduced from 2 stars to 1 star. Previous review from 10/16/16: If you have navigation set to messages rather than next message the next email below the email you are reading will automatically be marked as read when you delete the email you are reading. So if you are trying to stay organized you have to put a check next to the email then mark it as unread. Next problem is when I have multiple attached images and you are viewing them, after you close the first image and you open the next image, the first image opens again. These have been a problem for months.

This app was fine before the recent update. Now my email doesn't auto refresh and I have to manually refresh the box 3 or more times before I can see new email. It's unusable in the current condition.

Not improved - every email sent gets an error and sits in the Outbox far too long. It also takes far too long to open individual email. Terribly frustrating on the Samsung S7 with great mobile service.

It is great especially since my tmobile account is messed up at the moment. The voice calls are a little unclear but I am mainly using it for the texting anyway and its great! Xfinity always comes thru for me!! I love them!!

I was checking my cable bill when comcast ask me for feedback on how they are doing and then they gave me this app "xfinity connect." so I downloaded it so now when I get my email 3 different emails cause when. I read the email it didn't say which one it was now I have this app I love all 3 of my email are under where they need to be I reallylike this! Xfinity app.I love there cable internet and landline phone and now some of there mobile hotspots and email app thanks a lot xfinity comcast I am a life time member and I love it everyone should have xfinity comcast cable internet phone and mobile now..

This app would be much improved if they had the option to selectively install features. Too much overhead loading support for Comcast phone when I don't have it. I would much prefer an app that just did email. Hence the lower rating. It takes way longer to retrieve new emails than it should. Comcast online email is slow too. I'd use Gmail but don't trust Google. If I had a viable option, I wouldn't be using this phone for that matter.

The latest "upgrade" made everything much, much slower. Headers take forever to populate, you can't open and read your messages until they do, and messages that you delete will reappear, even on Wi-Fi. There does not seem to be any new features associated with it. This was at one point a great app, no longer.

Although Comcast did quickly fix the March 2017 bug that wouldn't let you delete emails, the Oct 2017 update (or a server change?) now makes it super slow to receive email via the app. It will spin for many minutes trying to download via a strong wifi connection, regardless of the pre-download setting, even if messages have BEEN pre-downloaded as shown by the first couple lines displaying in preview (even those lines don't show up when trying to open the message). Interesting that desktop access via POP (into Eudora!) still works instantly.

While on WiFi this app takes up to 2 minutes to open an email. Even sometimes on my network I'll have to back out of the app and get back in so it can refresh. Has never worked for me. Always an issue and any update that has been performed to make it a better app has never fixed this problem.

I give it 1 star because 0 stars is not an option. This app goes from bad to worse. If I start my phone and open this app, it's mostly OK. If I close the app and re-open, it's useless. At this point I only use it to see if there is anything important to address. If so, I access via computer. My Comcast address has become my "junk address" because of this app.

Update: This latest update makes the program almost unusable. Updating email takes so ridiculously long. The old version update happens in a few seconds. This version can take a half hour or more. Sometimes, it just doesn't update at all! From 5 stars to 0 stars!

When I open an email I see the spinning icon forever before the email finally opens, if it opens at all. This happens on my phone and computer, so it is not just this app. Happens on Verizon and comcasts own network, so it is not just my connection. Also, delete a bunch of emails and... surprise! They're back. Try again!

I love having everything at home available to me no matter where I am! Phone calls forward to my cell, I can check & send emails, I can even text with this app. Plus I can access all of my favorite shows or live stream many of them! I'm very happy with my XFINITY services!

This thing barely works. Load up the app and open and email and it doesn't open, it just shows a blank box. Then you try to go back to your inbox and the thing crashes. You can switch email folders once each time you open it. Any more than that, and it breaks. And I don't know what "Always Show Pictures" does, but I always have to click "Show Pictures" when I actually get an email to load.

Often says it can't connect but I'm able to connect to my work email fine. No one seems to be able to help w questions on the app. Still is a problem! Very frustrating to have to watch the little circle on EVERY SINGLE EMAIL when trying to open!

Calls often drops and most time won't go thru the first time you dial a number. Other party can't hear me. And sometimes can't make any calls at all.. as an employee for Comcast this app needs A LOT of work. I don't recommend it so far.

This app used to work well and was fast, but now it loads messages really slowly when you open them. Opening the same messages in Gmail is MUCH faster so I uninstalled this one. The online version has gotten really bloated and much slower too.

I have never had 1 issue with app. I even received home phone calls while vacationing in Jamaica!!! As long as there was wifi, I had access to my home phone and email easily. I would definitely recommend this app to any Xfinity/Comcast customer. You will not be disappointed!!!

November 2017 update has made this already problem written app even worse. About 1/3 of the time email will send properly. The app will freeze or it will show a message that the app has stopped working. This app has become a disaster. It used to work okay. Not great, but okay. The most recent updates result in very frequent crashing freezing and the app closing unexpectedly. In some ways, it's almost worse than not having this app. If you have it people expect you to have email accessible. With this app, however, you frequently do not have access to your email. Sending is always a problem, but it's getting to be even worse. The app will freeze and then close in the middle of trying to compose an email. I'm running Android, if that makes a difference.

The previous version was great. After the recent update, it keeps closing. It is also taking a lot longer to load (sometimes indefinitely), unless I close and restart it. Same situation with a selected email and have to close and restart. Please Comcast, get the latest update working the way it should.

Our only complaint is that we can not send or receive picture messages or emojis. We use this app for our home business. Text messaging is our main reason for having the app. We have lost business because we never got the messages. If they change that feature we would get rid of our cell phone plan all together. We prefer Xfinity!

This app use to work great. The last update ruined this app. All it does is sits and spins then crashed then sits and spins then crashes. Every now and then I can actually look at my email. I turned off the auto download and that didn't seem to help a whole lot.

I'm wondering why Comcast can't make a better email app than everyone else. Emails still load slowly, but I found a work around. Most emails take several minutes to load. But I found a trick. When an email is slow to open, I hit reply and the message loads immediately. Then I just discard the reply email and go back to the original message. The phone piece of the app works on and off. Most of the time the incoming phone call doesn't come to my phone until the call is already in voicemail. But this is still an awesome feature.

Can't even read emails?! That's the most important aspect to get right for this app Comcast! Way too frustrating and I expect a lot more from my hometown provider that clearly has enough money to produce better products than this. Disappointed in you Comcast, and this is enough to lose me- and I'm sure a lot of other loyal customers- to Verizon.

This app is constantly loading when I open it and so it takes forever for me to be able to read my emails. Sometimes it will even quit while I'm reading emails. It also should have a way to star and mark emails quickly to remember about important emails like Google.

This app is nearly worthless. Connection to the Xfinity email services over both WiFi and LTE produce huge lag and sometimes no connection at all. Xfinity has obviously dropped timely support for this app. It's truly unacceptable especially when you consider their BIG roll out of Xfinity Mobile services. Fail.

My primary email address just updated to the new Connect format online via computer. All my secondaries converted months ago. I have my Comnect app setup to change between the primary and four of my secondaries. Since the online update, my secondaries do not load the latest emails in to the Connect app when I'm using the Android version. If I use the Apple version, they will load. Then I can go back to the Android version and see the latest emails.

Horrible since the last update! Loads, then suddenly reloads emails but much slower. Will suddenly stop and will have to be reopened. Emails take a very long time to open. Very frustrating.

Ridiculously slow! This app used to work very smoothly, but around a year ago it changed. The constant spinning circle to open emails, the freezing and the inconsistency have made it a very frustrating app. This occurs on or off wifi. It occurs on both android and apple. Need to delete emails only a couple at a time. If I try and delete a larger batch it freezes. The features of the app are what used to make it great. Now, it is so aggravating on a daily basis.

The last update has made this app essentially useless. It's been a few weeks and there has been NO response from Xfinity for the many people that have complained about the same problem. When people check their emails, they don't expect to wait minutes for their email to display or to simply refresh the screen for new emails. The response time is painful now for basic functionality. Didn't experience this before update.

This used to work but is now useless when trying to open emails. As much money as Comcast makes on their customers they should at least have apps that get better not worse. The remote app won't let me control my dvr either. Junk!

Since the update this app no longer functions. Repeatedly closes unexpectedly, takes forever to open simple emails, and doesn't seem to sync with the server correctly, with the same messages repeatedly downloading. Total wasted update.

This app worked fine before the last update. Since the update it is slow to update email, it closes down arbitrarily while updating emails and sometimes claims that there is no internet connection. App updates are supposed to make the program better but in this case it made it worse.

It does not always connect when I am outside or inside of my home, even though I am still connected to WiFi. I am unable to make or receive calls, etc. Very frustrating. Now the text messaging section is not working... Will the text messaging option ever work again?

Great email app. I receive all of my e-mails now. The one that came on my phone was very unreliable so I downloaded this and I really like it..Was easy to setup the notifications to my liking.

I love that I can get up to 5extra numbers included. So each of my kids have their item number we all talk and text free on Wi-Fi since it's included. And I live that all my home calls go straight to my cell with this app. And I can answer via text using my hone number. The fact that I can delete all voice mail at once cause I can read it and not have to listen to them one by one is awesome too!

I wake up this morning to check my email and you broke the app. I can't open any emails to read, I don't have anything other than an inbox, all of my emails are labeled "Failed!" And I don't have any read email. At all. Clicking on one of the failed emails takes me to compose a new message. I mean this is almost impressive, there isn't one single thing you guys didn't break. Everything is broken and this is a garbage app. As we pay for this service, even though it is a free app, you better be fixing this ASAP because I am one angry customer.
