B70%

This app does what is supposed to but until they allow me to paste my long randomly generated password, it gets 1 star. I don't understand why in 2017 developers think it's secure to not allow pasting....

T70%
by T####:

Useless app, doesn't work any more. University spends big $$$ for their wireless network infrastructure and this is what we have to deal with.

N70%

The new update doesn't allow manual configuration so the app doesn't work anymore. Stupid.

So I'm required to have this at my university. It worked just fine. Over the break I got a new phone, and now no matter what I do, no matter how many times I install the app, get a new certificate, go through the process, nothing EVER works. Keeps telling me it's unable to process certificate, says this happens when the app is run a second time. But the certificate that was on my old phone is LONG gone. Your app, and website are no help at all! I hope you can feel my frustration and irritation in this message because I'm really feeling it! Would never downloaded this if I had any choice in the matter. Screw this app! Edit: finally got it to work, but it was a power struggle that lasted weeks. Had to go through an exact, precise, order to get WiFi which I only succeeded in because I literally tried every other combination of getting it to work.

This app feels like an afterthought on the part of the developers. It generates several QT warnings on my android tablet and fails to even make it to the login page. This is the second institution I've worked at that requires this software to exchange certificates, and at both the process is equally tedious. If you are considering Cloudpath for your workplace I would avoid it. You will have extra customer service requests just to help people through the bug-ridden software. As an employee I would also avoid it if possible, there are issues in the initial installation and later when you run into cases where you change passwords. There are probably much better solutions out there than this.

E70%

Recent update causes it to crash when signing in. You also cannot enter your password if it's longer than about 8 letters.

Since last update, it is no longer possible to enter config url manually. My institute system can't open cloudpath automatically in the recent android version so I really need manual configuration. Please bring the manual configuration back!!

For those experiencing issues try using a different web browser. I could not get this to work with Chrome but it worked with Firefox. In my case, after downloading Cloudpath and returning to my browser, clicking on the link for guided installation simply downloaded a config file. Using Firefox I was taken straight into the Cloudpath app and then configuration continued successfully. Alternatively, you can try clearing defaults for your web browser, and if it prompts you for which app to use, select Cloudpath (not an Internet browser). This issue also occurred in the Google Now browser, as Android will typically send a notification saying further sign in action is required. For me this did not work, I simply opened a new tab in Firefox (or other browser that's not Chrome) and typed in my university's webpage which then forwarded me to the Cloudpath installation steps. It gets you to the same page and then you can continue with the Cloudpath app as described above. This solved much frustration on my end, hopefully it helps someone else too.

D70%
