Nexus Torch

Once upon a time this app did everything I wanted it to do. Now, however, if the phone display turns off so does the light - yet the app keeps from phone from sleeping, consuming copious amounts of battery. Also, High Brightness doesn't work even though I am rooted. Other than that, lightweight torch app =)

It worked at first on my rooted Photon but for some reason the super brightness isn't working now. Won't recognize root. Please fix. Otherwise it's the best FL application on the market if you just need a great light. (Photon not supported yet so I really can't complain, at least it works).

App is not stable on the LG Optimus G (LS970). Standard light works, high power light causes the phone to reboot. Strobe causes the app to stop working after a few seconds.

It needs landscape support (is this so hard for such a simple app?) High brightness doesn't work on my Rooted HD2 or Transformer Prime (it says there is no root) Otherwise, It does the job! Recommended!

Galaxy S2. Works ok, Loses a star because it's not pretty and it misbehaves when the screen times out. extra stars for no unnecessary permissions or adverts :)

The only thing is when you put the strobe at a high frequency, it has a small skip every once and a while and i couldnt test the bright because im not root. Great overall!

The moment this breaks for ICS you autists come flooding in with 1 star reviews. I'm pretty sure he's aware of the problem and working on a fix.

There is no better light for your phone. The flashlight goes on quick, and the strobe is the only one in the app store that can be used as a tactical strobe. Muggers beware...be blinded or have a seizure! Oh, do not look at the strobe or shine it at anyone even as a joke. That said, it is adjustable.

Loved this app and used it all the time. Upgraded my Nexus S to Ice Cream Sandwich and it no longer works. 5 stars when updated! :D

I like this app because of its clean interface and how fast you can set the strobe to, but please get a better icon. That icon looks awful. Besides that its great.

Works great on ICS for me... HTC Sensation. Only bug is that torch mode flickers, but that's been there even before ICS. Not to mention sensation isn't technically supported.

On a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 it works fine, both low and high intensity... except some times it stops working and I have to restart the app.

But still the best torch app I've used. If it works on your phone, you will be pleased. The author is exceptionally skilled, I love the small file size.

I find that the widget app lags abit. It works but doesn't turnoff till 5 secs after hitting the toggle widget

Worked on standard setting. High brightness caused black screen and a very bright strobe light... might work fine on rooted stock or other gingerbread builds

Worked on My Touch 3g slider perfectly. Slow and unresponsive on my galaxy s I... Needs work.

Was a great little app for my n1 and I have just recently got a nexus 4 and was pleased to find out works on here really well too, in spite of s warning when opening the app which claims it will not work on a nexus 4

It says "your mt11i is not probably supported. Sorry". But it works. If dev feels the necessity, please add SE MT11i to compatibility list.

Works fine apparently on the Nexus 4, though it says it won't on launch. I haven't pushed the light up to the highest setting though as I don't need to.

This app rocked right up until my Nexus S upgraded to ICS. Now says "can't get root". Update?

This app works well for my phone (HTC One, with root). However, the bright mode causes the phone to crash and reboot. It'll have 5 stars when bright mode works for my device. Thanks for the great app.

A torch app is essential on a mobile phone. There are countless torch apps out there, but this is the best because it works well and requires no dangerous permissions. Responsive widget and status bar notification if you forget to switch off. I like the widget better than the one Samsung supplies for the Note.

High brightness does NOT work on a rooted desire. Waste of time.

I have a Nexus 4 running Android 5.1 Lollipop (not rooted), and this app works perfectly. However, its torch is already quite bright. Please send a request to Ben Buxton (whoever that is) to update the app so that there is no high brightness on the Nexus 4.

The app works, but when I try to use "High Brightness" it says "no root, can't use high brightness" although I already gave it root access. Otherwise, it working.

This app works fine on my rooted Moto G. I get the message that most likely it won't, however it works mighty fine. Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for... Functional and Simple!

Works on rooted Sprint Galaxy S3, fastest strobe available, only thing not working is high brightness setting

Works with motorola atrix but the app freezes from time to time still worth it I think

All works, says no root for high brightness (even after granting root privileges)

Works ok on HTC wildfire s although a message poops up all the time saying not tested on this fone which is more buging than adds !!

Works even though it says it might not when starting up. Didn't try extra bright setting. It still asks for root privs even tho using Jelly Bean.

Quasi works on g2x - turns on and off light but the ui lags behind the status of the led a bit. Thankfully has no stupid ads.

Does what its supposed to do. Some phones don't have a low or high led flash and some phones don't support this app. Don't give 1 star because your phone is not comparable! Droid X2, verizon

Two stars for the fact that its simple, doesn't want internet access etc that so many other apps do but unfortunately doesn't work on the Nexus 5

Except, it causes my screen to turn off when super bright is activated. Hilarious to use with the strob effect. For making me laugh at my evo3d 5stars

Superuser allowed but no light when high brightness enabled. Love this app and look forward to fix.

It doesn't override the phone's sleep mode. The torch turns off after 30 secs. Pls fix! Otherwise 5 stars. Samsung S3.

I just wanted to let the author and everyone else know that this apparently works fine on the att Samsung skyrocket

Minor errors regarding power to screen using high brightness option. Screen dims almost to.black screen, and strobes from overload ? STILL WORKS!!!
