Bürc - ulduzlu göyün bir hissəsidir. Ulduzların müşahidə və öyrənilməsinin əlverişliyi üçün ulduzlu göy bürclərə bölünür. Bürclərin əksəriyyətinə qədim zamanlardan əfsanəvi qəhrəmanların (Herkules, Persey və s.), heyvanların (Qoç, Buğa və s.) və əşyaların (Teleskop, Günyə və s.) adları verilmişdir.
