I-Ching: App of Changes for Android
Best I ching app because it uses the stalk method. Plus the developer is awesome and fixed a bug I was having. There are lots of iching apps out there but this one is by far my favorite!
This seems to be the one. It does what it's supposed to without some bogus new age overlay. Great.
Very feature rich. Especially like the ability to use my own coins.
The app is elegant, fast and is not over complicated with too many options. The ability to cast the six lines or cast your own hexagrams is great. Also the usage of the Wilhelm translation knocks it out of the park. The only criticism I have is the UI is tiny at the bottom and not clear at first.
I use this app every day and it continues to surprise and delight me and help me explore my feelings and innermost thoughts. Meant to leave a review for ages to say THANK YOU to the author for so many great moments. One suggestion: the bottom menu is really small on my tablet, if it were twice the size it would be harder to mis-touch and bring up the Android menu.
This app is rare in that it's the only one I've ever found that uses the Wilhelm translation. The Wilhelm translation has a forward by C. Yung and is my favorite. Really, best app!
Easy to use. Easy to consult. Elegant. Fast and smooth. This has become my goto I Ching app, and I have used a few over the years. I find it a great companion to the Taoist writings of Deng Ming-Dao that I read daily.
Simple app that is pretty cool. Imagine a magic 8 ball with philosophical content. This app isn't for everyone but if you like philosophy you should enjoy this app.
You can tell this app is a labor of love. Keep up the good work.
Everything I could expect and want in a simple app. I've been looking for one like this for many years
The commentary for hexagram 19 includes "Gilligan, drop those coconuts"? It's marketed as having fidelity to the original in terms of math, but obviously not in terms of the substance of the matter.
I've never paid for an app before, but I had a strong urge to get this one. I'm impressed! Not to sound all new-age but I totally laughed out loud at the reading it gave me, it was like it was sitting here looking over my shoulder and telling me exactly what I needed to know about my grumpy husband. P.S. Grumpy husband called and apologized right when I finished reading my reading. Cue up "Doo DOO doo doo, twilight zone music, pretty cool stuff!
Like the app and the code behind it. However, I prefer sometimes to toss my own coins and would love to be able to manually enter the result into the journal. The browsing could also be ordered into a table where the column represents lower trigram and the row higher trigram, I find it helps me finding the hexagram better. Perhaps at the start you could choose manual divination and in phone divination? With manual the app would walk you through a method of your choice and let you record result?

I enjoy the clean and simplistic interface. Pressing the button 6 times is nice- just like traditional casting. Whatever algorithm he used produces very accurate results for me. Journal does not work on my Galaxy S4 but just fine on my Note tablet. Developer took the time to help troubleshoot the problem!
I got this application recently .Got it because of positive reviews. So far it has been living up to reviews !
Unexpectedly accurate. Nice detailed answers.
One of the best apps for this I've seen
Way cool!
This app uses the yarrow stick method algorithm and is one of the most accurate I've seen so far. It can really give you interesting insights into your situations. The app itself is well-made and clean. I have only a minor complaint regarding the use of the journal.. often it is hard to bring it up by pressing the journal button, as if it needs to be pressed multiple times to work. I'd suggest the author that he also enables an export of all journal entries to a file or even syncing them to a cloud service.
I love being able to use the yarrow stalk method, updated for 2015. It's very well made, very clean, and I love the chosen verbiage of the judgement. Thanks!
This is the best I-ching app I have seen. Plenty of depth and feels good to use.
The very best. Check out the Wired article about it: My Quest to bring Hippy Mysticism to Apple Watch. (Though obviously it's for Android too!)
The best I-ching app by far.
