(만화)한중일 공용한자 808자 2권

한·중·일 각계 저명인사로 구성된 ‘한·중·일 30인회’는 올 7월 일본 홋카이도(北海道)에서 열린 제8차 회의에서 3국 공통의 상용한자 800자를 선정, 발표하였다. (최근 808자로 수정하여 발표)

3국의 젊은이가 808자의 한자를 익히게 되면 어느 정도 상대방의 언어를 이해할 수 있는 지적 기반이 마련될 것으로 보인다. 뿐만 아니라 한자가 통일되면 국가 간 교류도 더욱 활발해질 것이고, 일반인이 상대방 국가를 여행할 때 간판 등을 읽고 이해할 수 있으니 훨씬 편리할 것이어서 민간인 교류도 원활해질 것으로 기대해 본다.
