Das Deutsche Verpackungsinstitut vernetzt die Verpackungswirtschaft. Das dvi ist das einzige Netzwerk der Verpackungswirtschaft, dessen Mitgliedsunternehmen die gesamte Wertschöpfungskette der Verpackung abdecken. Aus seinem Umfeld nimmt das Netzwerk Impulse auf und gibt auch selbst immer wieder wichtige Impulse ab. Über das modulare Weiterbildungskonzept der Verpackungsakademie widmet sich das dvi dem wichtigen Thema Weiterbildung.
