Price Alert for Amazon for Android
I can't believe I've been buying from Amazon without having this app. Great app. Simply add items from Amazon that you are looking for deals on. The app will alert you to any and all price drops on the item. You can even import a whole wish list into the app. Very Easy to use. Only thing you need to know before installing is that unless you purchase the better version for $3.99, you will only be allowed to save three products into the app. I figured, I'll save the $3.99 on the first bargain I purchase. So it was worth it to me.
Concept is great. App is clean and unobtrusive. My main issue is that it triggers false notifications on occasion. For example I set an alert on a new XBOX controller and it will send alerts that the price has fallen below my set amount but when I check it was based on a trade in price (not purchase price) which is not helpful. I haven't noticed this with other items yet at least.
Very straightforward setup. Search the item you're interested in. Set the price drop in which you want to be alerted for said item and that's it. Don't have to worry about searching daily for price drops on Amazon. Only thing I'd like is setting a price alert for an item whether it be new or used price, so separate categories.
App is great for those items that you don't need right away, but would purchase if the price goes down quite a bit. Update: I paid for the premium features, then switched phones later and was disappointed to find out that I have to pay again if I want the premium features. Not cool, and I would highly recommend not paying for the upgrade for that reason since most everyone upgrades their phone.
Horrible app, wish I could get my money back. It only uploaded a few items in my wishlist, so I spent all this time putting everything on there, then manually doing a price below the price it is now. Then I started getting tons of notifications for used items or different quantities. In the time I've had it I've never had a notice for an item that is actually tagged, only for used items or items that have exorbitant shipping fees or a smaller quantity. I'm uninstalling and have learned my lesson.
It shows a wrong current price! It doesn't take to consideration that each size has different prices, it simply chooses the lowest price without considering which size was chosen and show it. There is not option to share via the Web browser as it's advertised by the developer!
Can't filter out postings of USED products, plus I get multiple alerts for the same posting over and over. Probably 10 a day for the same guys crappy used router or knife sharpener when I only want a new one. Dumb.
My defacto solution to monitor prices on things I'm planning to buy soon. Nothing worse than seeing a price go up on an item just before you buy it. I've seen a lot of fluctuations in Amazon pricing due to demand. One of the first apps I load on my Android devices. Being a Prime member this app should be a no-brainer
I had this on my old phone & just upgraded... this was the 1st app I re-downloaded! It's saved me a lot of money, either on things I'm waiting for the price to drop, or things I buy regularly. Really easy to use. It's honestly one of the best apps on my phone.
Works as it should. Easy to look up Amazon listings and set price thresholds. Getting the plus version is needed for tracking more than 3 items but $4 bucks will end up saving me way more in the long run. If you only have your heart set on one or two things the free version is sufficient.
I like it because its really a 'set it & forget it'. Installed a few days ago, picked my items I hope will go on sale, and surprisingly it hasn't tried to spam me once! You know the apps that want to try to sell you other junk... I recommend it for all Amazon shoppers.
Paid for the upgrade to pro version and instead of the whole wishlist coming over it only imports about 8 items of 50+ I have. I've deleted the items and retried with Chrome, Firefox, and the Amazon App with the same results. Too late noticing this flaw to get a refund. If it worked properly this would be a great app. Frustrated reading other reviews where others have stayed this to see a reply from the developer that it works. At least say which browser this was designed for.
Well implemented, works with other tracker apps and allows me to keep on top of my orders. Occasional discrepancies between delivery dates on separate screens but I imagine that's to do with amazon's processea and not an app fault. Would recommend!
This app started out ok, but got progressively worse. I got over 100 push notifications in the same day on one item and when I'd go to Amazon, it wasn't even on sale. This started a week ago and now multiple items on my watchlist do this. I hated to uninstall a paid program that started with so much promise, but I did just that.
Works great and notifies me of all of the price drops. Might take some getting used too because certain products might drop lower than you would think but you also might not want to have notifications all the time if it only drops a penny.
The app is dreadful. Multiple false alarms on price alert that don't exist. I would recommend they remove the app from the play store until they fix the bug(s).
Ideal for those who don't earn a lot but still spend a lot of time on Amazon in the hopes that the things they want become cheap enough to buy. This app cuts out all the time wasting. I wish I knew about this app earlier. Definately one to have on your phone. I'm all for making life easier! And less expensive!
Had a notification "£100 Amazon Voucher. Rate this app and win". No further info is given. This could be against Google Play T&C. It certainly calls into question the validity of the 5-star ratings; they could be 5-star because people think that only good reviews give them a chance to win. Maybe some people think they'll get £100 no matter what. Very dubious tactics.
Great idea. I bought the premium version. So far having trouble importing wish list. Tried with list set to public and shared. It only imported one item from list. Will hopefully figure this out
Instantly uninstalled when I saw two things. One, the app limits you to watching only three items. To track more they want $4! Two, the ad placement. It overlaps the "+" FAB icon so it is incredibly easy to accidentally click the ad, which in turn increases the dev's ad revenue. Shady ad placement and ridiculous pricing.
I've been waiting for an item to go on sale for a long time. Saw an email when I left work today that it is on sale! Can't ask for more than that!
I have the pro version and I used to love it. The absolute biggest turn-off is I get these alerts for price changes on items I am tracking. When I open the Amazon app I see that the price change alert is only referring to used items or refurbished items. There's no way to sort out the trash. There should be a way to sort out new versus used. The second issue I have is a recent issue. When I get alerted on something, which tends to be a used item changing price, I will get like 15 alert of a price change in a five minute period for the same item. It got so bad I had to turn off the notifications which totally defeats the purpose of the app. I don't see myself paying to renew. I'm sure there are apps that have a better system than this one. This one needs a complete overhaul.
The app is great and if you are only watching 1 to 3 items it's perfect. I paid for the plus because i watch many items. I would rely on checking my shopping cart for changes. I still would miss changes. The potential with this app is worth supporting the developers.
This app seems ok but I didn't have a chance to be notified about price changes yet.. I'll improv my review when it will happen
App itself is not bad however im not sure where its getting its price from because half of time its incorrect. Constant notifications about incorrect price becomes annoying very quickly. Also way too many commercials.
I just bought this after becoming frustrated with having to look on Amazon everyday to see if my item is on sale. So far the program's quite intuitive and easy-to-use.
It doesn't seem to be accurate. I get an alert about a price drop, but checking within one minute doesn't show the price drop. And the app will still have the lower price. Makes no sense.
I paid for the pro version to import my wishlist and it only pulled in 8 items of the whole list. Additionally it does not respect sizes which makes it useless for at least half my purchases. I regret paying for pro.
It seems to work OK except with this one item it is watching. It keeps notifying me the price has dropped and the item is out of stock
Excellent app! I've been looking for a deal on an espresso machine, and was notified as soon as it hit my price point! The savings more than covered the cost of the app on its first use. Very happy!
Just started using the app, but it seems to work well. Alerts when the price of a product changes.
I'm addicted! This app is wonderful. I do wish there was a better way to communicate and reply to notifications especially with regards to shipping-which is not Amazon's fault.
Just installed so can't fully review yet. Used the 3 free price watched items so shall see how that goes. Seems a good idea though!
This app should be called spam generator. When an item goes below the threshold it sends repeated email sometimes multiple an hour. There is no way to sort price alterts for new vs used. So you might get an alert because the used price went below. Don't get it. Such a pain!
This app is extremely useful. Amazon prices do fluctuate quite often, and this app has helped me to get items when the price in Amazon drops, this has saved me money quite often! and quite a lot. This app is very useful!
This app is trash. I use it to track a lot of items even with the paid version. It is constantly tripping with reminders of items above my price that refer to prices of used items. And what's most annoying is that it'll send 4 notifications at a time, like every 10 minutes.
This app is perfectly serviceable. But unless you pay for the paid version, you can only use alerts for 3 items. There are other apps that offer much for for free. I can't blame them for charging money, but I won't be using this app when others are simply more convenient.
This is great to use in order to monitor prices on items. Amazon constantly changes the prices, sometime 3 times a day. This app will help you trend these changes allowing you to save money
The free version only checks prices once a day which is not often enough for some of these crazy amazon products (the fire tablet for example) that drop in price for minutes at a time throughout the day. I do appreciate the price history feature, though.
