Image Date Editor

Has promise. Lets me change the photo dates within the QuickPic app so I can see how they will sort. But then it backs out to main menu and makes me choose quick pic editing all over again before finding another photo. This makes editing a group of pictures very time-consuming. This should stay right in the folder you are editing so you can work through it easily to assign dates.

After receiving my new phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge) and inserting a 200Gb microSD I've copied all my (30000+) photos to it. But my new phone dated all of those pictures at the day I copied them to my new phone, no matter what date I changed/converted in the metadata. So according to my phone I took 30000 pictures on one glorious day in May 2016

I had a few pictures in my Google photos that were taken on a digital camera. They had the wrong dates on them so they didn't show in the correct place. This app changed the dates without a problem.

App doesn't with it says but a few minutes after the photo has been changed reverts back to the original date. So doesn't that make it useless?

Wow, I am impressed! I moved a lot of pictures and other stuff to a new SD Card so all timestamps of files went haywire. Found Image Date Editor, I was a bit scared when I clicked "Autocorrect the date" but it did the thing in a blink. It set the files modtime out of EXIF data from the pics. For pics that had no EXIF data it obviously could not find the correct modtime, so it made them all to 1/1/70 00:59:59. That's pretty cool. Now, can I suggest a cool feature?: new function to select some files and "Autocorrect the date out of file name". Some files are named something like "__.". That would help into guessing the time for those files with no EXIF data. One more thing: a confirmation for the "Autocorrect the date" function? I have clicked it accidentally, which removed my manually edited file timestamps out. Thanks for this apps guys, great job!

Doesn't save anything, my file browser still shows a different date from the date I used and saved using this app, clearly it's not working. Waste of time.

Not necessarily the easiest to use, but the only app I could find that would allow editing of GPS date which gallery apps often sort by so struggled to fix dates until I tried this app. Would be a little better if it allowed seeing other metadata when doing it manually and allowing editing of different date exif fields but definitely does the job well!

I used the "Auto Correct by Date" option with a 95% success rate. I got a new phone and when I copied my old photos to the new phone, they were in a random order, this fixed it because my Samsung Gallery sorts by date modified.

The automatic function worked perfectly in seconds when the dates all altered when I moved my images to my SD card. Fantastic app!

Doesn't work, crashes every time I try to change the date

It's a good app, it does exactly what it says it does but I only have one problem, for some reason whenever I change the date of some pictures the change is done but then some time after the pictures revert to their pre-change status, can't tell why it's only happening to some pictures and not others

Unfortunately app has benn stoped....... Not opening says every time

Automatic updating of dates should be supplied with yes/no option to prevent errors, otherwise good job.

Easy to use

Works well enough, but as soon as i delete an image the ones i changed the date of return to their original orders. UPDATE: the app crashed and when i reopened it, my entire gallery was messed up and now everything I've put into order has been essentially randomised.

Gets what it needs to do done with no fuss, however after saving -> overwrite, the popup for the same photo hangs around instead of dismissing. Why does it do this? I want to move onto the next photo, not stuff around with the same thing again. Please make the box dismiss after the photo has been saved.

I used the "auto correct the date" feature and it changed all my photos' dates to 1969. I can't undo it. I have thousands of photos over the range of 5+ years all with the same date now.

I thought the file timestamp would be fixed in this app rather Exif timestamp... Any user add-on option to satisfy this need?

Please add the option to select multiple photos more than one! Especially since I have over 100 photos to edit the dates. Also I pressed the auto correct button and it put some of the photos to the 1970's.... fix please

Great looking and clean design. Like others have say before me, a quicker year picking is the only missing feature.

Lovely app . especially when you've copied sd card & all dates change to the time copied this allows you to reset them back to original dates.5 stars.wish they could do same for videos

But, images with no Exif data will be changed to 1/1/1970 which messed up all old images or whatsapp images

App doesn't work as described and auto function messes up your pictures.
