About Arabic Urdu Bilingual Study
Bilingual study:
Urdu and Persian are related, and share a similar grammar and word roots. Arabic belongs to a different language family. However, over half of Persian vocabulary is said to be Arabic loan words. Similarly, nearly half of Urdu vocabulary is from Persian (the remainder being from Hindi), so about a third of it is Arabic loanwords (that typically came via Persian).
The scripts of Persian and Urdu are modified from Arabic to reflect phonemes particular to these languages. The argument for retaining the current scripts is that Arabic word roots can be easily recognized, the argument against is that they do an imperfect job of representing the phonetics. Accordingly, Persian has a category vowels terms majhoolaat (forgotten sounds) that are probably diphthongs that could not be properly represented in the Arabic script.
