I have been using this app since quite a while but lately i am having problem in opening the app. I am always getting "The operation could not be conpleted. Try again." I tried lot may times on WiFi and 4G but in vain. Please look into the issue.

I love this app!! (For reals)However, there is something that bothers me. And thing is that sometimes when I enter to the app suddenly the live stream starts to play when I don't want to wacht.

The app is not opening and the message "The operation could not be completed. Try again later" is always coming for last one week. Please help me solve this.

This app crashes in Samsung J7. I have to uninstall as it is just not usable.

The app is quite good but the only thing I see is that you cannot read any offline content

Best news app on the Play Store Al Jazeera provides detailed, unbiased, objective reporting from all around the world about stories that are of actual significance. The only reason I haven't rated the app 5 stars is because often, on an almost hourly basis, the app will start playing the Live TV feed in the background, even when the app is closed. Often when I'm listening to music, the music will pause because Al Jazeera has randomly started playing over the top of it. This is a really strange bug and I desperately hope it gets fixed this time. Other than that, great reporting guys!

Your content is great and very clear. I just love you guy. News as it really is no spin. Honestly. Keep up the good work. I wish you were still on tv. It would have been clear to watch just facts on the us elections. Mabe you will come back to the US market some day before we in the US destroy our country. Thanks William

So I downloaded the app as it gives a different perspective to other news apps. Had a shock however when it used all my data overnight because I hadn't turned background data off in the app. None of my other apps have even come close to using the same data in a month let alone overnight. Very very poor. Going to have to buy extra data now to use for the rest of the month.

Sometimes app starts playing audio/video? without being asked, and then again after the app is closed. Have to close it, open it again and close it again to make it stop playing back as the source is not apparent or even, by my best reckoning, even activated. Since I work in quiet environs sometimes, this is a deal breaker for me. Otherwise, the app is functionally all that I could ever ask for.

Better than my rating. I like their different POV and global range, and their notifications are pretty good. My problem is that when i click on a notification, it hardly ever loads the story - - then if I close it and reopen the app itself, it will say X many notifications in my feed but when I click on that, there's nothing. Obviously I haven't set it up right. :-(

New update. Still won't load without the "something went wrong, try again" error. You really need to hire some programmers who have a clue what they're doing. Evidence is resounding that your current developers are not capable of building this app.

I like the app. Al Jazeera gives me another source of news that is different from other sources such as the New York Times. My only issue and the reason I won't give it 5 stars is that sometimes, for whatever reason, my phone will start playing a video and I will hear the reporter talking from Al Jazeera in my pocket. I then have to go into my phone and close all applications to get the noise to stop. I don't understand this bug.

Really love getting my news from this app. Only gripe is it sometimes starts talking at inopportune times, such as work or funerals. And I'm like "I know Uncle Lou's passing doesn't compare to an entire genocide but settle down Al."

Al Jazeera, is a media that gives all round coverage of their reportage. They are good at what they do. Their investigative journalism has made them world-class media. I like Al Jazeera for their neutrality and unbiased reporting. I'm a Christian but l like the way they present their media reports, not religious and not political, they render their services to humanity. I would like to see Al Jazeera English maintain their neutrality and unbiased reporting.

Hi, I'd like to rate it 5 stars, because you do well, but this App needs improvement before it's 5 stars. 3 things - 1) don't auto-download stories (phone bandwidth), 2) a "show notifications" toggle button, because right now, it forces notifications, and 3) a "send usage" toggle button, because I assume you take diagnostics, which should be optional. Love the app, but I can't keep it.

Better than other major news outlets. Stop supporting isreal and save palestine, the United States gives more aid to isreal than any other country with nothing in return, but Palestinian Genocide. Boycott Estes Lauder as they contribute to Benny's genocide.

I read Al Jazeera every morning so I was excited about this app. Unfortunately this app has major glitches. It will randomly play news audio whenever I plug headphones into my phone wasting battery. The subsections of articles are also glitchy and take a long time to load. I ultimately uninstalled it.

Constantly refuses to open after a while. I have to go to settings>apps>aljazeera and clear cache, clear data, and force stop then start it up again for me to be able to use it. Then I have to go through the sign in process again. It's annoying, which sucks because I love this app. Hopefully it gets fixed in a future update at which point I'll readjust my rating.

The app seems designed to show one's preferred content instead of a wisely-edited selection of timely and relevant journalism. While the home screen looks like a nicely-organized collection of stories, it reads like a stale jumble. I want good reportage on current events available at a glance - and this app doesn't really provide that.

Only news site I read, because of their fact based, unbiased news( formerly Al-Jazeera America). Recently, I have been reading about Donald Trump and the election, and there is a hand full of unnecessary opinions that steer negatively towards the President elect. Yes, we all have our opinions, but I'm here for news. Not writers opinions. If I wanted that, I'd still be watching C-SPAN.

Love al Jazeera as an alternative news source but as best I can see the Android app lacks any settings. I for one would love to be able to turn off the video that seems to automatically load and play. Not only does this consume data, but seems to play at the most inconvenient times.

Great news and good simple app. The only thing that really annoys me is that its impossible to see the most recent news, it just shows everything on a home screen in a random arrangement and need to scroll all the way looking for something new.

I normally love Al Jazeera for their unbiased news and documentaries. But this live streaming starting all of a sudden, using up my internet quota is simply unbearable. How can I possibly turn it off without uninstalling the app?

Not quite 5 stars but gave it that because there is no 4.5 vote. It's a shame when you find more balanced and professional journalism outside the United States in a major syndicate than inside. I miss that level of talent.

The Al Jazeera app works great when you want to use it, and is awful when you don't. The Livestream audio keeps breaking into my podcasts, music, or supposedly silent situations - it's talking at me now while I'm rating it, and I certainly haven't asked it to. Extremely interruptive and annoying.

Works okay but is a little featureless. The most annoying thing though is the static "back" and "share" buttons at the top of the screen in every article. There is no way of getting rid of these. All android phones have built in back buttons, they do not need this iPhone style button taking up screen space. I like to be able to level the top of a paragraph at the top of the page to read and I can't do this with this problem. Please fix this.

What a useless app. No instructions on use . No functionality. Waste of time and waste of space. Your better of staying video podcasts on RSS. At least the consumer gets to view your programme. Make it easier for me not harder. What utter stupid morons who put this together.

Fails to implement and target the largest Android OS and in doing so it gets location and contacts permissions on install. I do not recommend installing until proper permissions support for Android 6+ are implemented for your privacy and control to be asked in context only when needed!

Great for the news alerts around the world. But for some reason, every one in a while while using Spotify and having this app open in the background causes random news audio to keep pausing my music and can't be stopped until I reset my phone

This is the only news source that gives independent news views. It can go places Western sources can't and thereby give a different point-of-view. Al-Jazeera also tackles World problems, rather than only what matters to US & Europe.

Technical support need to fix the APP, its gets carshed frequently and always I had yo uninstall it. Next day again install. ..so I am fed up with this APP.....now finally I will un install it.

Great journalism and app with international focus, my Marshmallow based phone sometimes has random audio without videos playing and can't turn it off... A little odd.

The news stories are great, but I dislike that you have to rotate the phone to the side to use it. One major annoyance is that after every time I use it, at some point it will start playing movies in the background by itself, even if my screen is locked. It just starts blasting some random news story on my phone's speakers. Bizarre.

U need to correct and improve the app immediately. While watching live it get struck and after few minutes it plays only audio, even than i am on high speed wifi .If i want close and come out of the app, it" will not move at all. You need to wait to come out of the app. Get this problem resolved to have better streaming.

Can't turn off notifications. Layout cuts out pictures and words, so you don't see full headlines. Navigation is not intuitive. No options for one's personal profile. Data hog. This app needs a lot of work, it's nowhere near as good as BBC or the Guardian or many others. Uninstalling, even though I'd like to have access to Al Jazeera content.

Good app, but the video plays by itself all the time interrupting music that I am listening too, can be quite annoying. The content of the stories does however seem to be truly unbiased.
