Genie (The Kodi Voice Search) for Android
It's a fantastic idea and the implementation is almost there, but the small bugs really spoil the experience. A previous reviewer said that Genie was unable to successfully scan for any media, but that was true for me only when connecting to my NAS-based library through UPNP. After establishing an SMB connection that problem was resolved. My main issue is that at 30 minute intervals, presumably when the app is trying to rescan the library, I receive a system message, "Genie has stopped" right in the center of the screen. This could be resolved so many ways, firstly by catching whatever error is causing the app to crash, or second by allowing the user to change the refresh interval / allowing manual refreshes. Ads do appear after selecting a title that has been searched for, and they are intrusive, but they go away with just a click of the back button. As another reviewer stated, I think this app could be greatly improved if it was open sourced and improved upon by the community. I can't imagine the ad revenue is large enough to maintain it.
Voice search seems to work. But it was because of the recommendations I installed it - and that does not seem to work at all. Maybe it's because i'm using Emby for Kodi?
Works just as they say very happy with this app well worth a go hope it improves as Time Goes On
All you seem to get is failed to import from kodi hope this is resolved soon would love to have it working and installed on my Nvidia Shield TV Pro
Import media failed after enabling media server.

The Kodi library import actually works, as well as recommendations and voice search. Unfortunately the ads ruin the whole experience. Without the ads and possibly with being open source, I'd be willing to pay for it.
