GM Alarm chooses random melody and downloads it from the Internet for each awakening (it keeps history so the melodies won't repeat). All you have to do is to pick a music category.
For instance, "Relax" category contains calm compositions what make you balance between dream and reality, "Nature" - the sing on morning birds, a rooster and an owl screams... If you sleep like a "bear" then "Extream" is your category (but be careful, some melodies are really scared :-). And "Classic", "Rock", "Pop" and other categories as well.
More about functions:
-Ability to create a few alarms with different music;
-Flexible snooze time settings (you can set any snooze time for each alarm);
-Ability to switch off / snooze alarm by shaking the phone;
- Emergency signal (if a melody is very calm or wasn't downloaded then the emergency signal will wake you). Please, set emergency signal in the main properties right after first run. You should do it just once;
-Flexible emergency signal time settings (you can set any time for each signal);
- Ability to set automatic switch off time (so the alarm will be automatically dissmised without your help);
- Beautiful night mode
If you like a melody that woke you up, then you can open alarm history (from the context menu, see "help" for more information) and find out the singer and even get a direct link to the whole version. In addition you can see your wake time so you can pick the most efficient category. If you are a singer and want to share your music with people just upload it to the catalogue on the website (www.galarm.net)

It used to be perfect for me. I loved it. I loved the different choices of music. But now it has some fundamental bugs. The possibility to set up an editional alarm disappeared. Sometimes the alarm just do not ring in the morning :( But I still have a hope that those bugs will be fixed

Two suggestions: 1. Do not disable the ability to snooze when the emergency tone rings... Alright, the download of the real tone failed, but it is not necessary to disable that option. I suggest this because that ruined some of my mornings. 2. Delete the "off" button from the alarm screen (or, at least, make it smaller and put it in a corner). If you are half-sleep you can press it accidentally... It is better to force to disable the alarm directly from the main menu. Best regards, somebody that uses your application every day.

I have been using the GM alarm for nearly a year and love it! Certainly lives up to it's name of being "unpredictable" but the last two weeks it doesn't give off a sound. Always connected to 3g or WiFi and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice. To no avail. In fact, the last reinstall has made it impossible to even set an alarm with the +. It just pops up with an error code.. Love the ap. Please just make it a reliable - unpredictable app :)

The alarm ringtone wouldnt play accordingly so uninstalled the app and downloaded again. Now if I press menu-synce now, nothing will happen so cant set the alarm! Please help!

Really I do, but.... it keeps not alarming when I have it set to alarm! VERY frustrating when you have tro be somewhere like work or church. I expect my alarm to function for when I have it set. Droid X2. Uninstalled.

But the alarm rarely works! The music notes are grayed out and I can't switch it on so it's useless. Please tell me how to fix this so I can use it everyday!

LOVE the ability to have a different relaxing sound every morning. Few things I'd add: ability to have the volume start low and go up. I like this feature in a lot of other alarm apps as it's not so abrupt for me to awake. It would also be nice that when the alarm goes off, it shows some current info like the temperature and such.

I used to love this alarm, but it doesn't fade in to the alarm anymore. Also, the music and messages are declining. But, the main thing is that you want the ability to follow new twitter users in my twitter feed as one of the permissions. SKETCHY.

Really great app for anyone wanting an alarm that uses music to gradually wake you up. App has great features including various genres of music to choose from depending on the mood you would like to set when waking up. It's set up in a way that allows each music category to cycle through various selections so that your alarm will be within the same "feel" of music but is rarely an exact repeat. *This app easily could have earned 5 stars if it wouldn't periodically exit with a force close notification box!
