Ulumul Hadits adalah ilmu hadits, Rumusan Standart Untuk Pemula dalam mentola'ah Hadis. Cara mengetahui apakah Suatu hadits termasuk hadits dhoif atau hadits shahih.dan lebih dalam lagi dalam menilai suatu hadits, Ulum Hadis secara bahasa ilmu hadits di dalam tradisi ulama hadits. ulumul-hadist mengandung pengertian “ilmu-ilmu yang membahas atau berkaitan Hadits nabi sholallahu ‘alaihi wasallam”.

Menurut Izzudin Ibnu Jamaah: "Ilmu hadits adalah ilmu tentang kaidah-kaidah dasar untuk mengetahui keadaan suatu sanad atau matan (hadits)
