Learn Japanese NHK - Nihongo for Android
Love this app! Good storyline, gives an insight into Japanese culture, and has a very well put-together lesson plan. And it is, amazingly, all free! So many language apps will just give a couple of lessons, then you have to pay to learn more than "hello"! The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that if my phone doesn't completely download a lesson the first time, I only get part of the audio (like 20-odd seconds, a minute or two, etc). Then I am stuck with the partial audio, with no option to re-try downloading. Any help you can give would be much appreciated, thank you!
From lesson 1 I was swept away. I have been trying with different apps but it has been a bit difficult. Also the explanations that are given are very understandable for beginners like my self I love this app I am sooo happy that I found this app. To the creators that put the time and effort into this app thank you so much.
As someone who doesn't have much time to learn Japanese and has no access to a teacher, I can certainly say that this app is the best. I watch NHK news all the times and I expected a lot from this app and it fulfilled them perfectly. Thank you for this great app.
I have just started using this app but it's very informative. I know some words and expressions from watching Japanese shows with subtitles but having them broken down and explained is very helpful. I'm learning a lot.
Love this app! Learning the basic grammar rules plus it is interactive. It does not encourage sole memorization which is really hard for some like me.
I loved it...would be better if you added other versions like the most recent one where the main character is anna
Introduction repeated every lesson and makes it boring. Michele sounds good,American 'Jeff' may be a robot!
Why does every audio clip need the same silly music and intro? Just get to the lesson already! I would give a star back if you edited out the intro.
It's a good way of learning, but japanese people never use "anata". It's disrespectful.
Used to work, now it's on my S7 Edge and no audio plays when I enter each lesson like it used to, please fix!
It is very useful and well explained. I really find it very interesting and easy to use. I have been studying Japanese for four months but had I downloaded. earlier, I would have tremendously improved my level. Thanks.
Only the first lesson got a sound tutorial. The rest you must read yourself.
Cant bear the annoying music at the start of each lesson.
Niveau très progressif, fichier audio pour chaque leçon (il faut cliquer en bas a droite de chaque icone)
When you scroll, The media player buttons becomes hidden, Couldn't show them again, Fix that
It's actually helping me but for the pronunciations it needs to be a little slower, other than that it's awesomee..
Great job. Please add auto next audio
it is very useful, interactive like face to face tutorial. hope you can develop enhance version with how to learn in writing Japanese language
Really cool that they have a Vietnamese as the main character. This is really the best way to learn Japanese on your own free time.
Ứng dụng Thật tốt và huữ ích, nội dung chất luợng
A set of checkboxes in the settings for choosing how you want to see the texts would be great.
Doesnt seem to have audio samples. I would not know if my pronunication is correct
Perfect tool for learning Japanese plus very entertaining.
I love this series! It's possible to listen to the lessons while the app is in the background. すばらしい。
Would be nice if there was an option to pause, play, rewind and forward the audio lessons.
It helps me a lot these application
Thank you so much
I finally found an app that really helps me understand Japanese grammar.
Clear instructions. EZ to follow!

これは暗記です
It's no.1 application.

This is Great..But Why Mine Has No Sound?
Good reference for student studying nihongo. Thank you

Thanks to NHK and the developer of this app! I started learning Japanese with a classic course book. It turned out this app is much better designed than the book. For me, content isn't everything: I need a well-narrated storyline. And Cuong-san's discovery of corporate Japan is well done. Also Michelle and Jeff are an essential part in making the learning experience both useful and fun. Great job!
