mooLa! (Checkbook & Finance)

Moola was my first app that I bought other than some .99 cent cheapies. I loved the cow and the beautiful interface. I have the latest version but was not able to get the Moola Store or budgets....I would love to have those. I call it my office - it does everything I need. I even learned to export and import. I would love to have the budgets though. It doesn't do anything when I click the button, and I don't know if my phone (Gingerbread) is too old or if the store is not there.... Mr Perry, this was a beautiful app, and I'm sure you've gone on to great things, but I am still using it and I wish you would reissue it. I'd happily pay for it again, and pay more. Yes, I've read that it locks up but so does Mint now and then. It serves me so well....the interface is whimsical enough to keep me interested and it's beautifully useful....to me, it's more manageable and personal than Mint...If anyone knows how if there is a way to get the budgets I would LOVE that. One of the best apps I have and again, would gladly pay for it again.

Overall, I love this app. I've tried several others and always come back to this one. But it seems when I stray, there are two major things I'm looking for: 1-a better widget and 2 - the ability to take attach receipts (take a picture). I haven't had a lot of issues with losing data or anything of that sort; only once or twice. Overall, I'll gladly give 5 stars if you can add the ability to to attach receipts. I think this is a HUGE thing - especially with the bill portion of the app!

I lovethis app I have tried multiple -multiple and yours is hands down the best but it's still missing a couple things.  A couple years ago I made a suggestion of being able to clear multiple items and you made it happen. I would like to see a search button added, a way to remove pending bills once u entered it into check book, and a way to see the next couple months, like a calendar.  If you do all of this I will give you a wopping 5 stars!!!!  But somehow, I just feel like you have given up on this app.

I keep my checkbook register in Moola and it works well. I like the recurring bills feature as it helps me know exactly how little is left on payday after my obligations are taken care of. I would love to see some way of automating backups so I could be confident my data is secure. But the export to csv is convenient for deep audits and for having a monthly "statement" of my checkbook.

I love this app, i just wish i cant sync it with other devices so my spouse can enter their transactions since we have a joint account.. I've been using another app in the meantime in hopes that this one will hopefully be able to sync with other devices soon. If it weren't for this I would have given it 5 stars.

Perfect app for my needs. I used it all the time. But everytime I upgrade my phone, this app is a big hassle to reinstall. I get why you don't want the sync feature, but I do. Therefore I have found a similar app that does sync. Thanks for keeping me organized all these years.

So I went to input new transactions into the app and the totals were still there but all of the transactions were gone. I don't even know where to start. All the trend data and sub categories I have created are also gone. I have to start over. I haven't done anything with my phone that could have caused this since the last time I used the app a few days ago. I hope this doesn't happen again.

Design is not as intuitive as I've seen in other apps. Also, the backup feature did not work when I did a fresh install of the app. Also, developer has been silent to my bug fix requests in the past. Widget still doesn't work, and developer website doesn't exist.

I love the interface, the flow, budget, graph... almost everything. But it FCs all the time and backs up to the moola on my device with no sd option. So when I had to do a factory reset I lost everything. When I uninstalled it... I lost everything!! Please include an SD backup in the next update. I expect more out of an app that I paid for.

The features all work as described; however, I can find no means of editing any item once it has been saved. This means that when I make an error or record a transaction in the wrong account, I have to create a another transaction to negate the error. This is very confusing. Many free apps have an editing feature: I can't believe I paid over $7 for one that doesn't.

I love this app, but I've recently switched to iPhone, and I can't find a checkbook app I like as much. Is there a possibility of creating Moola for iPhone? I was even using the version you have to buy. I would pay for it again if it came out on iPhone!

I have been using this for a while now, but every new update seems to make the app run worse. You'll get incredible frustrated when buttons are delayed, or stop working all together. Might be time to move on. Droid X.

I broke my phone and had to get another phone. There is no way for me too get my previous transactions and bills...I would like a refund. For $7 you should be able to get your transactions when switching phones!

I completely LOVE this app. I have been using it for probably 3+ years now. No need to look for a replacement because this one is great!

Checkbook works great but cannot get the budgets option to let me purchase and download

This app was so much better before the update... Should show current and available balance. The screen response in the app also isn't very good...

I've used Moola for 6 years now and swear by it for a mobile checkbook app. The only gripe I have is that I have just recently began using the categories again and as I update newer transactions that have recurring transactions, they don't update all of them. Other than that, I love this app still.

The sync or rather cloud save should be an option. There are any out there Google Drive, Dropbox, one drive. Can't you just add the feature to do so? I would easily pay for that. This app hasn't changed much in years

Love this app! I wish you could break down each entry into more than one category! I also wish there was a list of pmts by vendor option! And a search option! And that you could drill down to transactions via the pie graph!

This app keeps stopping midstream snd I can't seem to make this app deduct my transactions from my biweekly paychecks that I enter. It seems that there are two different areas for that and the two functions do not work together.

Been using this now 4 years. Needs to have apr% for credit lines and a cloud save option . Otherwise almost perfect

The only reason I bought the full version was for the budget option. Now after purchasing the full version, I go to the budget option within the app and it says I have to purchase the budget option within the app. Ok, I was willing to do so, so when I pushed purchase, nothing happened. Have tried restarting app and phone.....still nothing happens. Love the other aspects of the app, just what I wanted, but was ticked when I purchased for the budget option and now can't even do have that.

The only feature I wish it had, especially after paying $8 for the full version, is the functionality to add reacurring income automatically to accounts, and also to be able to deduct reaccurring bills automatically. That would make recording direct deposits and automatic bill payments so much easier.

I really wish I could sync this app between two devices. Entering everything twice sucks. I may switch to an app that offers synchronization.

I've been using this app for years. It simply does what it does flawlessly. My one problem with it is that the backup process is clunky and cumbersome. Currently, I backup, dig through my file browser for the backup file and then manually upload it to a cloud drive. I would love love love an auto sync to cloud storage feature for backups.

With Moola I've been able to easily and quickly take control of my finances. No more wondering if I have money available or checking my bank balance and wondering what my real availability is. I tell everyone I can about this app and am encouraging others to take control of their finances. It's so easy! Thank you!

The app works great, but lacks necessary features such as: transfer between accounts, backup/export to (any) cloud service, or even automatic deposits. I had all of these features on my Palm pre almost a decade ago. If & when the dev does finally get around to adding these, he'll probably charge extra for them.

Your widget is bad and you should feel bad. Great application otherwise, but seriously fix the widget, it barely works on stock launchers, let alone third party launchers. Also I purchased the app a couple years ago, but you're putting in more stuff the we have to pay for separately, that's dishonest.

I would have given this 5 stars if the budget portion of the app had more flexibility like weekly or bi-weekly budgets.

I use mooLa! for my checkbook register and also to track my "virtual" accounts of my kids chores. I works well and functions easily. My only request would be to assign future dates to bills as I move them to the transactions register without having to edit each individual bill after moving it. Overall this app does everything I need it to. Verizon HTC ADR6400L.
