MARCO BALDERI ORAFO for Android

Marco’s professional training is quite unique: his experiences expand from the years passed in the shipyards of Viareggio, to his creative clay production activity and the goldsmith workshops in Arezzo and Valenza. Marco’s research begins from his observation of nature and how ” it has already created the most beautiful artworks”; nature in its perfection even in imperfections, where a mark is not a defect but rather a emphasized choice of evolution. This is how Marco chose to exploit his creative experiences and open in 1986 a jeweler workshop in Forte dei Marmi.
In 1994 he moves to Pietrasanta, home to various arts and crafts, defining his evolution as an artisan who acknowledges the world of goldsmith with curiosity and need to explore.
The thin line that divides craftwork and art becomes slowly less perceivable in a prelude to his collaborations with important artists such as: Igor Mitoraj, Ivan Theimer, Do Konig Vassilakis and Sofia Vari. All these experiences give life to various collections that go from metal seams to human figures binding stones, from wind vortexes to windows on the skin and regal grains.
Today, those who work precious metals on an everyday basis tend to confront themselves with the earth and its valuable crystals and minerals: through fire which, when tamed, enables to forge the formless matter of iron; through water which cools down the results of transformations; and finally through the air that tarnishes the surfaces and changes its colors. While he models wax or forges iron Marco digs in his deepest inner self and confronts the lights and shadows that rise directly from his soul. Marco’s emotions and torments are those of everyone and the charm of his works are so intense because they evoke something so deep that needs no further explanation..
”it’s a true alchemy“
The professional training of Mark is quite bizarre; her experiences wind through the years of shipyard in Viareggio, the creative work of the clay, the goldsmiths of Arezzo and Valenza.
The research of Mark is inspired by the observation of nature considering that "she is to have already done all the most beautiful things," the perfect nature even in the imperfections, where the scratch is not a defect but an underscore sought.
It 's so that one day Mark puts to good use his creative experiences in opening' 1986, a laboratory-jewelry in Forte dei Marmi.
The transfer in Pietrasanta in 1994, where art is at home, marks the turning point for Mark who enters the world as an artisan goldsmith with curiosity and desire to explore.
So the line between craft and art becomes more subtle, until the stimulating collaboration with several major artists including Igor Mitoraj, Ivan Theimer, Do König Vassilakis and Sophia Vari.
All these experiences give rise to the different collections ranging from the seams of metal, in human bodies that surround stones, swirling wind, windows on the skin and grains gifts.
Who, today, working the precious metals is measured daily with the earth and its precious crystals and minerals, with the fire, tamed, allows you to shape the formless matter of the metal, with the water that cools the results of transformations; with the air that eventually oxidizes the surface and changes the colors. While the wax model or melts metals, Marco digs deep within himself and compares with shadows and lights that rise directly from the soul. The emotions and torments are those of Mark and all the charm of her jewelry when it arrives is intense precisely because it evokes something so profound that it can not be explained, "is a real alchemy."
