Yellow Duck Edu Software Suite for Android
It had some bugs that caused it to crash a lot but the past year or so it's been working well.
Very good
Love it but its not working with restricted profile on android 4.4 and nexus 7 Hi my kid is regular user of g compri on Ubuntu. On my nexus 7 I have a restricted profile for him. I would want you people to make it work for restricted profile also.
Remove this POS immediately from the "play store" ... Developer is lying about a free app!
Pointer lags, sound and speed problems, interesting activities are not free. A shame since the Windows/Linux is free and open source.
I was one of the people that was accustomed to playing gcompris for free on Linux machines. After reading that a) the gcompris developer provides a link to this android version and b) that the gcompris developer also has a charge for the Windows version I decided to try it. (I.e. the Play Tractor team weren't taking unfair advantage of the gcompris people.) I'm really glad I did. Our 7 year old has been enjoying gcompris since she started with Qimo as a preschooler. She enjoys it soooo much more in tablet form. I had no idea it would make such a difference but apparently it is much more fun when you you have touch screen and don't have to sit in a chair at the computer. Now we are just hoping even more of the gcompris games are soon ported to Android. Thanks Play Tractor!

First, this is a port of the completely free Gcompris my daughter plays on my Lubuntu machine. Having to pay for the same activities which are free on the laptop is a little hard to swallow. Second, the app continues to run in the background when you leave it. There is no "exit" like in the original. Consequently, it will continue to run until you go into apps and force it to close. I only learned this after turning the music on and then leaving the app. The music remained on. If this app is constantly running once started, I am left wondering why. Is it a bug? or is it for tracking, etc.? I am of the opinion the source code should be released publicly somewhere (like github or equivalent) so that someone much better versed in programming than I am can go over the code. The quasi-open "email me for the source code" option the developer provides is, in my opinion, not what the GNU licence intends. Fix the bug/questionable activity and this app has potential.
