Simpler. Therefore easier. Than others. Also doubles as a tuner. Makes a great tuner. A not so great audio analyzer. Has an ad bar. Overall recommended.

Not an "audio spectrum monitor", just a simple musical pitch detector.

The recording and tuner function is a good improvement but at the cost of several steps backward. 1. Frequency in hertz is not displayed. 2. Increased amount of noise detection 3. I cannot access the settings screen. The triple bar button does nothing.

This app identifies the frequency and musical note via the mic. It's a great help when manually transcribing melody. It's a shame I can't find an app that does the transcription automatically . And unlike some other spectrum analysis apps it doesn't suffer from nasty aware like one user suggested it might?
