인천문화지도

인천은 근대문화유산의 보고다. 특히 현재의 중,동구 지역에는 서양식 근대 건축물들이 많이 남아 있다. 인천문화재단은 인천시민을 비롯한 국내외 방문객들이 역사적 배경지식을 갖고 이 지역을 여행할 수 있도록 "인천 개항장역사 도보여행" 을 어플리케이션으로 개발했다.

1883년의 근대개항은 인천에 여러 변화를 가져왔다. 교육, 종교, 여가 등 각 방면에서 새로운 문화가 흘러 들어 생활전반으로 확대되었다. 특히 청국․일본․각국조계지가 있었던 개항장 일대는 외국인들의 활동이 활발해 국제도시의 성격이 돋보였다. 따라서 이 어플리케이션을 통해 근대 인천의 모습을 상상하고 경험할 수 있도록 조사 가능한 거의 모든 장소를 소개하고자 했다

1. 이 어플리케이션은 2009년 1판, 2010년 2판으로 발행된 책자를 수정․보완 했다. 일부 내용들의 GPS좌표의 정확성을 기했다.
2. 이 어플리케이션은 인천 개항장 일대의 근대문화유산을 표시한 전도(全圖)와 행정․외교, 교육, 경제, 주거, 종교, 공공시설, 위락 등 7개 분야로 나뉜 주제별 답사코스 및 해설로 구성되었다.
3. 답사장소에 붙은 식별번호는 인천역을 출발지로 할때의 답사순서를 뜻한다. 이동경로는 각 코스별 지도에 표시되어 있다. (안드로이드 버전의 경우 지도상에서의 선택이 불가한 시스템 상황으로 하단에 건축물을 따로 클릭할 수 있도록 마련해 두었다, 정규 코스 외에 기타 장소로 구분되는 건축물은 정규코스의 번호를 이어 받도록 했다.)
4. 기타 장소로 구분된 답사장소는 도보거리 또는 고증문제로 인해 부득이 코스에서 제외된 곳일 뿐 중요도에 따른 구분은 아니다.
5. 답사장소 중 원형을 유지하고 있는 곳에는 장소명을 부기했고 원형이 확인되지 않았거나 이 해당지역 밖으로 이전한 경우는 장소명 뒤에 ‘터’를 붙였다. 그 위치를 파악할 수 없는 곳들은 장소명만 달았다. 단 일본인묘지, 중국인묘지, 외국인 묘지는 그 터를 파악할 수 있으나 위치를 지도에 따로 표기하지 않고, 본문에 본래 장소와 이전한 장소를 밝혔다.
6. 답사장소 중 일러스트레이션으로 장소를 표시한 곳들이 있다. 그곳들은 대부분이 그 원형을 유지하고 있는 곳들이다.
7. 외국어 고유명사 등의 한글표기는 원발음을 기준으로 삼았다. 그러나 널리 사용되어 이미 익숙해진 경우는 존중하였다. Incheon is looking for a modern heritage.
