About MCA Malta Free WiFi
The Malta Communications Authority (MCA), in collaboration with other entities manages a number of free Wi-Fi Internet hotspots across Malta and Gozo which are available to the general public.
There are two main views in the application -
* Nearby - if the user's location is available (via GPS), this view displays the nearest hotspots to the current location including real-time updates of the distance and direction to each hotspot. If the location is not available, all hotspots are displayed in a list.
* Map View - this view displays all WiFi hotspots as markers on a Google map. The current location, if available, will be displayed as a blue dot. Further information may be obtained by tapping on the relative marker for the hotspot.
Updates are carried out automatically in the background and an internet connection is only required for first time use and for using the app in Map View.

So far so good. App works. It seems you may need more hotspots though. Im in Gmangia and strength is very low. I appreciate it will take time but well done , at least mr and mrs public can save a bit from the isp companies exorberant charges.

The app itself works well, but the free Wi-Fi provided is so weak it is not worth the effort. Even at Malta Airport, the service was lousy. Would be better off without this service, which can't deliver.

Good idea but not working well. One of the 10 tested free spots worked. Signal was very weak. Also how can the map only work when connected to the Internet, what was the thought.

It's a nice app, shows me all the open public hotspots. Not bad... It's better than searching manually for open WiFi.

Great app, though there are more free wifi points then the app shows. It would be even more helpfull if the restaurants which provid a wifi are shown. On the whole Great app. Really great job. Thanks :)

Works great. Would be nice if you could estimate the range of the hot spots and provide some sort of radius around each point. Maybe you can collect this data from the app users.
